don't twist what I've said to support your currant position, NOT EVER DID I SAY THAT RODGERS PURPOSELY LOST GAMES, not tossing a couple check downs in the middle of games does not translate to losing those games, what was idiotic was fans here thinking he didn't see the check off receivers because he wanted a kill shot deep, whats logical to suppose is that Rodgers was sticking to the called play sending a message to McCarthy that the called plays where not working, and short zone passing means more then just having a check off player.

the NFL had to do something to curb rookie salary's, teams where trading out of top 5 picks do to the cost of paying untested players, remember now those top 5 picks would all be QB's if ya had that many with great college pedigree, and as we know, over 50% of them become NFL busts.

ande the draft didn't just become a big TV event, it's been one long before this last CBA, in fact it has been a yearly get together for a bunch of my Packer backer friends for years and years

true the NFL has no plans to change the draft, however I think they will do something with the Eagles or any team that obviously tanks games to enhance draft slotting, they better, or it will destroy the league.
So Pederson should have just instead called terrible plays intentionally? I agree the optics are not great for the NFL. Especially because the NFL was stupid and put the Eagles on Sunday Night Football. Like that was super dumb.

But you can't compare what the draft means now compared to what it meant 15 years ago. It's not even in the same state....hell country of popularity and big time event that it was 15 years ago.

Of course everyone on this board watched the Draft all day Saturday and Sunday 15 years ago. We are obsessed fans. But you don't get Nashville to host that many people because of a few forum loving fans. You get it because of just how big and important the draft means. There was a time, believe it or not, where Radio Music Hall hosted the Draft and nobody watched the combine. I know....crazy.

But I also can't understand your point or position for getting mad at teams for accepting a loss to get a higher draft pick 3 days out of the year around week 17 but then complain on every thread of this forum of why the Packers don't take players who go multiple slots ahead of us. Because even under your theory, Jefferson and Bush had a 50% bust rate.

There is just a lot of contradiction and irony in your feelings between Rodgers intentionally not taking check downs (which are also part of the play that MM designed by the way), teams tanking, draft position does not matter, and being mad the Packers don't draft certain players because they were drafted multiple slots ahead of us.

It was well documented.
bull &%$@, and if I ever said anything like that it was meant in a joking manor, as I said Logic seems lost concerning this, Rodgers looked right at those dump offs to Williams and other receivers, then purposely kept looking for MVS etc. to beat 1 on 1 coverage, right to the point of taking a sack, or throwing it away, he didn't do it when the win was on the line, it happened in the middle of games, and when he'd walk to the side lines he was 20 yrds away from McCarthy, they rarely spoke to one another during games.

what baffles me is that so many fanes simply deny this stuff even happened, instead, I guess it was easier to just blame RODGERS, you people need to think through this, with the way Rodgers has adapted to what Lafluers offense demands doesn't it look like this is something Rodgers has wanted to do for years? does to me.

Last I checked, a positive play in the middle of the 2nd quarter is the same value as a positive play toward the end of the game.

If Rodgers was intentionally doing that as you stated....then I truly did have a right to be mad at him in 2017 and 2018. A lot worse to impact multiple games in multiple seasons compared to 2 quarters in a meaningless game.

the draft has always been a big deal for even casual NFL fans, it was, no football for 3 months, and Fans are also party type people, heck years ago we'd cook a pig to celebrate during the draft, friends would come back Sunday for left overs, some of the hard core drinking fans would treat it like a Greek wedding and wouldn't go back to work till tuesday or wednesday

and there is no middle ground concerning this for me, if your not trying to win, then you obviously are trying to lose, this is no different then other forms of cheating, all cheating gives un fair advantage to one at the expense of the other, in this case tanking games at the expense of currant players etc. to gain advantage in the draft over opponents.

McCarthy's idea of short on schedule passing was a slant or a check down, Rodgers point, thats not enough to even draw down a safety, basically McCarthy didn't have a on schedule passing scheme once we lost Nelson and Cobb.

good God, you still don't realize who you should have been mad at, heres a clue, he just had a losing season for the Cowboys, your loyalty to packer coaches and GM's is so mis guided, I give Ted a pass do to dementia for not replacing Nelson and Cobb, but I can't condone Mike for not sticking more with the run and revising his passing schemes, and I applaud Rodgers for making that obvious, so obvious in fact that Guty and Murphy fired McCarthy mid season.

well APB said it's documented that I said Rodgers tanked GAMES, I refuted that, and GPG supports tanking a season for draft picks, so I didn't agree with that either, what did I miss?

Can we all agree that if you lose to the Jets and catch COVID before the playoff game (not that it's necessarily his fault; COVID happens), you don't get to win coach of the year?

So tanking just a few plays to tank a game to tank a season to get a coach fired is the method.

Lightbulbs are on now!!

Home team won 127 games this season.
Away team won 128 games this season.

I knew I loved MLF when he got up in 2019 and talked about how great the fans are but to be honest....they are pretty boring, sit a lot and don't get loud.

I loved his challenge and now that he has built some clout, I think he can push that narrative more for 2021.

Yep, that is important. I am probably the loudest guy in section 107, and everyone around me knows it. But that is the way it is supposed to be. Been to 17 stadiums, and Green Bay overall is in the bottom 3 for sound. Lambeau can get very loud at times, but it is not often enough, and often the loudness comes while celebrating. You are not just supposed to be loud on 3rd down, you are supposed to be loud every down on defense.

I remember back in 1996, I went to every game with my dad. Mike Holmgren asked the crowd to bring it on TV. My dad was telling me, "You better come to scream, coach said he needs our voices". MLF and the players need to push this, because Packer fan can be lazy and complacent in the stands.
