He also badly whiffed on a block on one of those bubble screens that our DBs kept blowing up.lake shark wrote: ↑13 Sep 2023 11:34Yeah on special teams. He made at least one tackle, lol.Scott4Pack wrote: ↑13 Sep 2023 11:21Did Tonyan not even play? I didn’t recall hearing his name a single time.
Apparently Love’s self-recovered fumble was more egregious than Fields’ lost fumble, too.paco wrote: ↑11 Sep 2023 19:22Fields had 9 more completions at almost 65%. He was also the leading rusher in yardage and yds per carry (6.6)! All of this while under pressure the entire game. Love had a worse completion percentage and was propped up by a better offensive line. Plus everyone knows that throws under 5 yards in the air are much harder than ones down the field.APB wrote: ↑11 Sep 2023 18:49Just to add some context to the earlier discussion over PFF grades.
Apparently PFF graded Jordan Love’s performance as a 60.8 yesterday. Justin Fields received a 60.9 grade.
I’m not sure what metrics they’re using or the standards of grading…but how in the hell does Fields receive a higher grade than Love??
Plus the Packers cheeseheads were interferring with Fields' sight. Packers fans added mirrors and lasers to them to distract him.
I think that probably covers it.
I know in the past they've spoken of calling multiple plays in the huddle. I think what we interpreted as Love "changing the play" may have been him simply identifying which play to run based upon the defensive look he saw...?Crazylegs Starks wrote: ↑13 Sep 2023 21:36But Love "canned" something at least two times that I heard. That usually means switching to the alternate call.
I think a lot of times, options or checks are built into a play. Whether the d is in man or zone or looks like they are blitzing, are in nickel or base, etc. Or probably something way more complicated.Crazylegs Starks wrote: ↑13 Sep 2023 21:36But Love "canned" something at least two times that I heard. Funnily PFF had one Bear graded lower than Claypool: DE Rasheem Green. And he shared the 43.2 grade with our double agent Lucas Patrick.
