Update 1: {Bakhtiari officially off PUP}
Update 2: finalized predictions.
+ 3 ST
All positions are listed in order of their ability and snaps with the exception of Bakh. Bakh will be on the 53 but he may not play a full game for a month or even more.
Newman is both a guard and OT
Quay Walker is both a ILB and OLB.
Jenkins will start at RT but will move inside should either Runyan or Newman get hurt. Hansen is also a backup guard
If Jenkins gets hurt and Bakh is fully back, Nijman starts at RT, otherwise Newman starts at RT
When Hill comes off PUP, probably someone will be on IR and the Packers will carry 4 RB's.
Dline is too heavy but Reed and Lowry are probably gone after this year. I also think the Packers will play more base 3-4 and less nickel/Dime this year.
The most controversial is that I would cut Rodgers. He and Cobb have the same skill set but Cobb is a much better receiver and has better judgement as a punt returner. Toure has more upside than Rodgers and baring a rash of injuries neither is likely to get more than a handful of snaps on O.
I could see C. Van Lanen rather than Heflin being the 50th to make the team.
Likely was only cut because of the new TE picked up on waivers

After the 2nd pre-season game, here are my latest opinions:
Amari Rodgers and Tyler Davis are toast.
Davis has had 2 turnovers, the first an int because he dropped an easy catch that hit him in both hands and let it pop into the air, the second a fumble because he started to run with the ball before getting both arms around it in traffic. He can spend the season on the PS working with the JUGS machine and Danny Etling.
In the last game Rodgers let a 70+ yard punt roll to 1 yard inside the EZ. It could just as easily have stopped rolling 2 yards earlier. On the next punt he caught it on the 3, got tackled at the 10 but then the Packers got a penalty and that cost them half the distance and they started at the 5. Inexcusable, the man has rocks between his ears. Then on 3rd down he makes the same mistake as Davis did on a deep pass on 3rd down and failed to secure the ball so it came out when he fell on it. He cost the Packers 30 yards and a critical first down and by odds should have cost them 19 more and had the O starting at the 1. Cut the loser before he costs the Packers a game that matters.
Abernathy needs to make the 53.
Backup LB's are going to be tough cuts. Anyone have coach's film on them, if so what do you think?
Oh, and Love is worth the price in the draft that the Packers paid to draft him. He may never be MVP but he is now a competent QB.

I may turn out to be wrong, but I still see this as the solid 7 WRs to make the final 53:
Lazard
Watkins
Doubs
Cobb
Watson
Rodgers
Toure
Toure because of special teams. Winfree certainly has again made a case to be on the 53, but I don't see Gute keeping Toure off the active roster.
Amari Rodgers has Vrable(WR Coach) Lafleur, and Gute all in his corner. I don't see him off the 53. Maybe I will be shocked on the 30th, we shall see.

I fully concur with your assessment at this time. Which if any WRs are on the Practice Squad will be interesting as well.

Yeah Rodgers is going to make it due to his draft status and the fact that he's kind of the defacto punt/kick return specialist.
If we saw another guy fielding kicks with comparable frequency, maybe that would be a tell that they see him as expendable. But no.

With Bakh coming off the PUP today that obviously means he can't start the season on the PUP. You can't go back and forth like that with PUP players.
So, one less roster spot with Bakh back. We will see how his knee responds after a few practices. Don't start talking him starting week 1 until we know he can go full with no issues.

We know that Cobb can field punts and will fair catch at the 15 rather then have the ball downed at the 2 as Rodgers will do. Cobb does not need to practice fielding punts. It would not shock me if Watson gets a shot at it too.

Doubs has also been back there in practice routinely, from what I've read.

so without any PS game reps I doubt Doubs, Cobb or Watson will be our designated return specialist, which means Amari Rodgers more then likely will be that guy, unless we see changes Thursday night, which I very much doubt, as we are not prone to compulsive decision making, if it where to be we would have already seen it.

We told ourselves that last year when we pulled Amari for him, only to see him muff the first punt he tried to field.

That said,
Andy summed up my thoughts on Rodgers *perfectly* (I set it to start at 21:16 where he talks about him).
Again, your Top 7 active WRs to start the season will be:IMO
Lazard
Watkins
Doubs
Cobb
Watson
Rodgers
Toure
You are correct. Winfree is better than Rodgers or Toure but Gute will go with the two draft picks just because they are draft picks. Rodgers is awful. They will lose Winfree to waivers.

I get that you love Winfree. I just don't see him starting the season on the 53. Toure is more valuable on teams as a gunner than Winfree is. I don't see Rodgers as "awful" and you would regret letting him go when Cobbie retires after this season.
The Pack kept 8 WRs in 2018, so I wouldn't completely rule it out this year.

Manac and Clary were released. Does anyone really pay attention to this trivia?

I am proclaiming an Amari Rodgers cut. Make things easier on Winfree and Toure, both of whom would contribute more this year.
He just doesn’t look right, every punt catch looks like a struggle, can’t seem to grasp the O and run the routes appropriately.
I am often wrong. But I am leaning towards him being a lost cause. Maybe swing him for a 6 or a 7, but he isn’t one of our 53 best players.

lets put this to rest
everyone pick there top 6, we'll weed out the yes and no on Amari Rodgers,
Lazar= he gets open and no one knows how
Watkins= he gets open, but part time
Doubs= frozen fingers, but starting to thaw
Watson= mega resources investment
Cobb= friend of AR, with player coach capability
Rodgers= jack of all trades, master of none
these six seem like the most consistent with the highest ceiling
I like both Toure, and Winfree, but Winfree to me seems like the odd man out, been a good camp battle.
