Uhhh…who exactly has been making this argument? :dunno: :idn:

…aside from you, that is.
you mean besides Wally, Waldo, I think Dr J, and myself, nope I think where the only ones, seems to go with the vote count.

on any given year we hit about 5000 yrds of offense, just who is going to deliver that? seriously think about that, lets give Dillon a K, give Cobb 500, about the same with Amari, after those 3 only Jones has chemistry with Rodgers, true I could see WAtkins with 500, maybe more, same for W2, after that it's debatable who delivers that other 2K, for the last 3 seasons Jones has averaged 1400 yrds and at least 10 TD's, lasy year more receiving then running, maybe the team worried less about receiver then most of us because they think Jones hasn't hit his ceiling as a receiver.

I don't feel strongly about this one so I'll join in on the Gary votes and get him in. I do think he belongs in this tier even if I technically have one or two of the others ahead of him.

Campbell (again!)

I can get behind Jones or Campbell here. I will also say, I feel like Amos is part of this conversation as well.

Amos is one of those guys who could probably be more of a playmaker if they put him in that position, but they seem to ask him to be a guy who cleans things up because he's just so damn reliable. He doesn't get the glory, but makes the guys around him better (just look at how Eddie Jackson's play at S has fallen off after Amos left).

Wow. This poll is shocking.

Jones got 7 votes last time, so I’d imagine a few stragglers will get in get, but this is one of the biggest tier cliffs I’ve ever seen in this.

Yeah, since switching to multiple votes, >50% is very high

Its so weird to me that people have this block, that they could never consider a RB to be highly valuable, when they generate like half the offense and outtouch everyone but the QB by a mile. Jones has so many plays where he turns 0 yards into 5 yards, he's always a threat to break off a big one.

And this idea that he's getting old is just crazy. RB's are used up around 2K-2.5K carries, Jones is in the 800's. RB's last until their early 30's, Jones is 27. Remember Tiki Barber? He was not a terribly dissimilar RB to Jones. He was just hitting his prime at 27 and had his best year at 30.

This is the time that RB's earn the hall. Do you think Jones has it in him? All the great ones were great in their late 20's.

Well now we have 2 Olinemen off the board, both of which may be a shell of their pre-ACL selves.

Gary and Stokes for me. I will take a healthy ascending player any day over an injury question mark.
Bakhtiari is contending with a weird year with his knee and is aging, so I do get that.

There is really no valid reason to think Elgton would stray from the norm on his recovery. A recovery that has evolved into little to no long term complications.
I trust Jenkins way more to rehab an injury than Bak. Bak has gotten a 3rd contract and more power to him. Silly decision by Gute. Same goes for the Jones contract but at least it ends this year.
I also trust Jenkins way more than Bakh. But it is still a significant risk.

I don’t think anyone has a block.

I think people are aware he might be out 2nd best running back and he is competing with a guy who was first team all-pro last year and a 24 year old edge who isn’t unthinkable to be in the DPOY running.

Gary's a draft bust. But still the 6th best player on the team. :rotf:
I remember where were many folks not happy when we drafted him. You don't hear that kind of talk anymore.
