I'm beginning to think Kyle Shanahan is overrated. It is his defenses, previously coordinated by Robert Saleh and now DeMeco Ryans, that have those 49er teams competing for championships. His offenses have been nothing special.

Idk, I think he's a top 3 coach. He's had Super Bowl caliber teams with Jimmy G under center. I don't know that Robert Saleh and DeMeco Ryans are defensive geniuses. They might be, but the fact that one followed the other and didn't miss a beat is a possible counterpoint
