Woods would be a nice backup plan to my Keenan Allen desires.

Sounds like the Rams and Bobby Wagner are “mutually agreeing” to part ways.

The 5 yr $50M contract he signed with LA was reported on April 4th 2022 - they didn't even make it 12 months.

How much of that was guaranteed?

Looks like $20 Million guaranteed according to reports, but contract details only show $10 million ($5 million signing bonus and $1.5 and $3.5 mil of salary guarantees in the first two years) and he'll have either a $7.5 or $4.5 million cap hit depending on whether they designate it a post-June 1st cut. He was scheduled to count $12.5 Mil.
If they only ended up paying him $10M and the cap charges were/are $2.5 Mil in 2022, $4.5 in 2023 and 3.0 in 2024 for one year of Wagner in 2022, it's not so bad.

I have been a big fan of Woods throughout his career. Not sure if his decline in TN was him or that offense but I'd be inclined to give him the benefit of doubt should the Packers pursue him.
I'm with you on Keenan Allen, as well. However, I think his market will keep him out of reach from us.

from The Athletic, potential FA Safeties
Potential cap cut: S Chuck Clark
2023 cap hit: $6.27 million
Cap savings if cut before June 1: $3.64 million
Dead money if cut before June 1: $2.63 million
A sixth-round pick in 2017, Clark earned his spot as a core special teamer, developed into a defensive mainstay and became the signal caller of the group, starting 61 games the last four years. The Ravens love Clark, but they have a lot of money tied up in veteran safety Marcus Williams, and they drafted safety Kyle Hamilton in the first round last April. Hamilton improved throughout his rookie season and looks ready to be a three-down player. Clark likely won’t be the only Ravens veteran to depart, as the team will need salary cap space to accommodate Lamar Jackson’s expected franchise tag. — Jeff Zrebiec
Potential cap cut: S John Johnson III
2023 cap hit: $13.5 million
Cap savings if cut after June 1: $9.75 million
Dead money if cut after June 1: $3.75 million
Though it’s not an easy decision because the Browns are looking to add veteran starters to their defense rather than let them leave, the finances here say the Browns will cut Johnson using the post-June 1 designation, freeing up almost $10 million in 2023 cap space and spreading out the $12 million Johnson is still guaranteed over several seasons on the cap. The Browns just can’t keep Johnson at that number after he had just four interceptions in two seasons. Barring a restructure, the Browns will eventually be searching for a starting free safety and will have some financial flexibility to pursue at least one high-priced defensive lineman via trade or free agency over the next few weeks. — Zac Jackson
Potential cap cut: S Eric Murray
2023 cap hit: $5.36 million
Cap savings if cut before June 1: $4 million
Dead money if cut before June 1: $1.36 million
The Texans are in good cap shape. With more than $37.1 million of space, they boast the fourth-most cap space in the league. However, they could free up a bit more by parting with veterans who no longer figure into their plans. Linebacker Christian Kirksey, who would save $5 million if cut, has been rumored to be a potential cap-related cut, but he’s a strong leader and one of the Texans’ leading tacklers, which could make him valuable to new head coach DeMeco Ryans, himself a former Houston linebacker. Murray, however, saw rookie Jalen Pitre cut into his playing time last season. Pitre racked up 147 tackles and five interceptions as a second-round pick. So Murray could find himself as the odd man out. —
.
...and maybe too spendy for GB, but he sure sounds like he'd be a great fit in Titletown, # 32 FA on the Top 100 at The Athletic
32. Vonn Bell, S, Bengals (28)
Bates signing elsewhere should place extra stress on the Bengals to re-sign Bell, the other versatile, cerebral core of Lou Anarumo’s scheme. Under Zac Taylor, the Bengals have shied away from third contracts, but Bell just turned 28. The captain might be one of the most underrated core pieces of the Bengals’ turnaround over the past two years. His work ethic is legendary, as he beats everyone to the building in the morning. — Dehner

Fun question
I’d say
1a Burrow
1b Jackson
3a Herbert
3b Hurts
27 Jones
Now that’s just how I’d do it.
My guess would prolly be flop Hurts and Herbert, maybe move Hurts up to a 2a and 2b with Jackson.

I wouldn't pay Jackson, I'd take the picks and let somebody else deal with him. He's a fine player, but because he doesn't have an agent - the NFLPA took him on as their special project poster-child for fully guaranteed contracts. As an NFL front office - that's not a battle you want to fight. Putting the NFLPA between you and your player has little or no chance for a "good" outcome on the team side
Somebody else can give Lamar the deal the NFLPA wants.
Burrow
Hurts
Herbert
Trade Jackson
D. Jones

And I only did a full quote of your post so she’d be there twice to look at. Not sorry.
