Has anyone else read this rumored stuff going on in Chicago with the backup QB's dad apparently being the one spreading the Caleb Williams benching story? This, after he apparently did the same thing last year when Justin Fields was struggling. He apparently is the one who shared with some local radio personalities that veteran players were asking the coaching staff for Williams to be benched and for his son to take the starting reigns.

Wild stuff, if true.

I can't imagine the player (Tyler Bagent) walking into the QB room and having to face up to that.

this guy will get his kid cut, overzealous pappy, doing more harm than good.

reminds me of that situation we had with Brohm to a much lesser degree, didn't he want his brother/father to be his personal trainer???? :thwap:
Yeah, the rumor was Brohm was listening to his family instead of the team

ACME with an article on Marcedes Lewis...still plugging along in season # 19 and has played 277 games !
Definitely one of the good guys and he's had a truly remarkable career.

IF the Bears lose on Sunday, it’ll be M.Lewis’s fifth-straight loss to the Packers. He hasn’t beaten the Packers since 2008 when he was still a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars, and another loss on Sunday will mean he’ll have gone at least 16 years without a win over Green Bay

I honestly can't see the Bears winning this game. Packers coming off a bye with better talent and better coaching should roll a Bears team that has seriously struggled to score points this year. I don't care if their tackles are back.

Pack 27 -10

Shouldn’t need him to beat the Bears. I want him healthy for the 9ers.

I thought I read a report a few days ago, everyone was good to go and all 53 were practicing again? now 5 are questionable or worse?

It would be nice to have a relatively clean game when it comes to pre-snap penalties.

Clean up the drops

improve accuracy.

no desperation chucks. The only way the bears win is if we turn it over a bunch.

Weather looks ok

It's a travesty Greg Olsen got pushed aside for Brady
Interesting. I don't think Olsen is great either. Better than Brady has been so far, but both are noticeably worse than Romo.
I like Olsen a great deal better than Romo.
Fine. :x

yep, and when Love's college personal trainer started to act like he was coaching up Love after becoming a Packer I was hitting the breaks on that too, there's a reason these people are not NFL coaches, typically it's because they lack the qualifications to coach at this level :aok:

I hardly pay attention to game announcers, except when they never shut up, it's like noise ya grow accustomed to :)

makes me think we want to get these guys at 100% if possible with another week off, after all were just playing that team from Chi ca go :)

makes sense, our schedule gets harder after Chi town Cubbets :aok:

Here's a few snippets from Warren Sharp Football

https://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/f ... bar-2024/
.
Chicago has not scored first in any game this season, the only team in the league.

The Packers have scored first in 7 of their 9 games this season, tied for second in the league.

The Bears have a -12 sack differential versus their opponents since their Week 7 bye, the worst in the league.

The Packers rank 8th in set of downs to reach third down (42.0%) and 3rd in the rate of reaching 3rd and long (16.3%).

The Bears are 28th in set of downs to reach third down (51.5%) and 29th in the rate of reaching 3rd and long (26.6%).

Chicago is 31st in third down conversion rate (28.7%).

16.0% of Chicago's plays on offense have gained 10 or more yards, the lowest rate in the NFL.

The Packers have forced a turnover on 18.4% of opponent possessions, second in the league.

The Bears have allowed a 37.0% red zone conversion rate (10-of-27), the lowest rate in the league.
