Great minds think alike.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑09 Dec 2024 09:29Just the way I worked out the predictor on PFN I think it ends up going Lions, Eagles, Rams, Buccs, Packers, Vikings, Redskins provided we win out.
I think it would be huge to see the Redskins play the Eagles round 1. Those divisional Rival games are anything goes in the playoffs. Thats a good shot at eliminating the Eagles early. Probably doesnt happen but I do think thats the best opportunity for us. Meanwhile in the first round we get the Buccs which is exactly what you want in the first round.

Beating the Rams is going to be huge. If they continue to trend up, they could win out. I could see us having issues with the Seahawks and Vikings and we sure as heck don’t want to give the Bears a motivation game to keep us out.
Edit: Losing to Seattle would be very bad if the Rams end up taking the NFC West as they would hold the head to head over GB.

Most people seem confident of the playoffs for the Packers. I am skeptical about it. Probably going to lose to the Vikings. All 3 of the remaining teams are going to be tough and the Packers can only lose 1 more game. I would feel a lot better if Alexander were healthy.lake shark wrote: ↑09 Dec 2024 13:33Beating the Rams is going to be huge. If they continue to trend up, they could win out. The supposed best team in the league had to go for it on every 4th down to beat us. If Watson holds on to the ball we win. We need one win in 4 games and the Saints and Bares are on the schedule. Losing 5 games in a row isn't in the cards.TheSkeptic wrote: ↑10 Dec 2024 02:44Most people seem confident of the playoffs for the Packers. I am skeptical about it. of course you are we just went toe to toe with the league's arguable best team and if the refs had called a fair game, several of our player didn't goof up, and we would have won, so ya, why shouldn't we have the confidence to make the PO's, heck we haven't played our best yet, and maybe we wont this year, but were close, it could happen any week.TheSkeptic wrote: ↑10 Dec 2024 02:44Most people seem confident of the playoffs for the Packers. I think you need to play around with some of those playoff calculators a little more…TheSkeptic wrote: All 3 of the remaining teams are going to be tough and the Packers can only lose 1 more game.
We're effectively a lock if we finish out the season 2-2. And we are likely a playoff team going 1-3.TheSkeptic wrote: ↑10 Dec 2024 02:44Most people seem confident of the playoffs for the Packers. If we beat Seattle we are effectively locked in, so let’s just get it done this week!go pak go wrote: ↑10 Dec 2024 08:30We're effectively a lock if we finish out the season 2-2. Yes. A win vs Seattle gaurantees we have the tiebreakers over the NFC West. The 2nd NFC West Team is really the only opporunity to put GB at the 8 seed slot in the NFC.lake shark wrote: ↑10 Dec 2024 12:52If we beat Seattle we are effectively locked in, so let’s just get it done this week!go pak go wrote: ↑10 Dec 2024 08:30We're effectively a lock if we finish out the season 2-2. personally, talking about all these play-off seeding scenario's gives me a migraine, I'd rather be wrong about the high value trade of Fred Vinson, for Ahman Green
Here's a link to current DVOA rankings and the 2024 Packers have moved up to # 3 in the entire league. (!)

Getting better at the right time
IT. IS. TIME
I would be thinking, "How many times did they try and how many times did they succeed?" Then ask yourself, did they beat you, or did your defense beat you?
I came into this world KICKING and screaming, naked, and covered in blood that wasn't mine.
I am prepared to go out the same way if I need to.
I am prepared to go out the same way if I need to.
I think it was their backup offensive line, just able to push and stand up our D front enough to get those yards.
Philly showed everyone that short yards can be accomplished if you are willing to risk trying for it and develop some sort of plan, either with a sneak or blocking design on a weaker DT, ya have to respect that, and I think we'll see more teams start doing it besides the Lions and Philly.
with both teams scoring 30+ plus points, defense was an issue for both teams, that's where offense decides the game, people clamour that defense wins championships, and at times it appears that way, especially in low scoring games, however, offense typically puts the points on the board, and lately it's become a who has the ball last, wins, and it will take some years now for defenses to change that, offenses are just too good nowadays

If we cant win this week I really dont even concern myself with the playoffs much. We would make it but it would be a quick exit. At some point we need to prove we can beat playoff teams this season.
Cancelled by the forum elites.
we have to get back to scoring first and playing with a lead, our defense can not support us well enough in catch up mode.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑11 Dec 2024 08:12If we cant win this week I really dont even concern myself with the playoffs much. I just don't watch as much football any more, so even one and done is one more game I'll get to watch my team, that's a plus for me
If we want to solidify ourselves as a top 4 NFC team, yes we have to beat the Seahawks in their house.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑11 Dec 2024 08:12If we cant win this week I really dont even concern myself with the playoffs much. We have some higher quality wins on our resume, but the top two are AFC teams. We need a good NFC win. The Cardinals being our top NFC win (I'm not counting LA as they were a different then) isn't a stellar resume.
Kraft said this week the time for talking was over and it was time to lock in.
there are players on the team not content with the status quo and are pushing to improve the mistakes/drive killers/penaltys....it will just all come down to if it will ever click. Can they all actually get on the same page and not play dumb? I would think the likelihood would DECREASE if it hasnt happened before the pressure ratchets up from the playoffs.
but it can still come all together, and if it does...look out!
But I dont think it should be expected to all come together this late in the season.
