This game has nothing to do with last week for me. Texans are going to get taken to the woodshed

I'm super pumped for this game. Esp with ban and now jones prob out. Of course I want those guys in but this is a good week to see what we got behind them. At LT I think we go with Jenkins. Jist think if he kills if he might be the most versatile lineman in the league.

It will be the Dillon and williams show. The texans d is bad all over. I hope these 2 go off for 150ish combined.

Another week for EQ to get in sync with rodgers.

King and maybe savage will both miss and that's a problem for the d. Its time our other stars show out.

35-20. Pack. GPG

Is this the lowest energy we on this board have had for a game?

Just no activity this week or no real or actual discussion about the Texans beyond the cliché, "they're better than their record."

I mean I am guilty of it too. But just an observation I have made.
I wonder if a lot of us are leery of showing any confidence after what happened in Tampa? Everyone thought we would win but we got embarrassed like we did in SF last year. That can throw a lot of cold water on anybody's enthusiasm.
That's probably most likely / right. After an unprecedented 18-4 start for our new Head Coach ...... and seeing our second clunker in the past 6 games (2 out of the last 6) ... "leery" is probably the right word. But who knows, maybe the Pack will rip off an 11 game win streak and go 15-1. We should be leery about the defense these days.....hopefully they get better real quick. 0 turnovers and 0 sacks does not impress anyone. And I am still not convinced that our Head Coach is capable of consistently crafting great offensive game plans .... as we know McCarthy had that problem .... lack of preparation should not be tolerated in the NFL. In the NFL the BYE week is not to be a vacation. Just my opinions ......... might be mostly all pure unsubstantiated conjecture.

Where is Yooper?

I think Houston is actually a pretty good football team. I think they are a going to be our 3rd hardest matchup so far this year.

Their secondary is in rough shape and I also expect us to be able to run the ball on them very easily. I expect this game to be Dillon's coming out party.

But I am a lot less bold on the Packers. Primarily our pass rush is in really rough shape and if we can't get the pass rush going, we are not going to be a team that can go where we want to go.

Simply, we need the Smiths and Kenny Clark to play to their level and have Gary play to what we think he can play at. This pass rush was supposed to be at an elite level and instead they are bottom 10 in the league.

Meh I dont think Houston really is good. Watson is talented and they have 2 speedy wrs but I wouldnt say either is elite. Their running backs are jags. Ol is beatable. Tunsil is a young stud that gets flagged alot. Z needs to play to his standard and he will have tunsil on skates.

Watt still needs to be respected but hes not the guy from 5 years ago. After that this group is blah. Cunningham can fly around. Their cbs are hot trash former 1st round duds

My guess is Wagner.

My hope is Jenkins goes LT and then they work some combination at LG.

If king, bak, Ervin, savage, and Jones (yikes) are all out...thats major. Like that would dibilate most teams, wel see what it does to us. I feel like in the nfl if you are missing about 2 starters, you should be able to survive...5+ is very difficult to overcome.

If we don’t miss a beat and roll over the Texans, that will show me ALOT about the bounce back ability and toughness of this team.

I think we are going to roll. They don't have much of a Defense and their O can be taken down if we actually genrate some pass rush. I'm looking to get back into the high 30s and our D will break up enough of their drives to give us an easy win.

I think their offense puts up a lot of points. Our strength is our secondary and King and Savage are both out. King is needed because we don’t have much after him to play outside and the Texans have a &%$@ ton of speed on the outside. Savage so far has been really bad but like King there isn’t much outside of him.

So we have Jackson outside and a replacement to play over top of him. That’s a recipe for disaster.

This game is going to be on the pass rush to finally wake up or the offense to complete carry the defense.

Dexter Williams has been called up and Billy Winn has been signed to the active roster. These are big deals which means we are likely seeing the following not play today:

David Bak
Kevin King
Darnell Savage
Aaron Jones
Allen Lazard
Christian Kirksey
Tyler Ervin
Tyler Lancaster

And maybe - Montravious Adams (I really hope he goes)

Holy smokes.

Darnell Savage after Week 1 actually started to play pretty decent. Adrian Amos has been garbage juice.

You are right. We need the Smiths and Gary to step up today.

That’s kinda what I was trying to say in my post, you don’t sit a 1/3 of your starters and roll on unphased in the nfl. That’s the amount of missing starters that destroys most teams seasons. So if it looks like nbd today, and we dominate...that is a VERY impressive bounce back by coaches and players.

I think Deshaun and their weapons can torch our secondary, i hope we play some ball control and pound Williams and Dillon all day like the titans pounded Henry. I don’t think Texans D is good.

Kind of excited to see Jamal Williams get a workload here. He looks way more explosive than he did in 2018, last time he had that opportunity.

Plus always a chance to up his offseason value and get us those comp picks.

Hey look at it this way.

For 1/3 of this team, the Texans is a bye because they won't play.

I completely agree with this. This is a much harder matchup than Falcons were with our injuries. I think there is serious risk today. And dropping to 4-2 would really, really suck.

We need this one bad.

Time for the new receivers to step up. Time for whatever the make up of the offensive line is to step up. I have no worries about our running game............we had Pitts and Moore in the 60s and now we have Williams and Dillon in the 20s. Hoping we run some misdirection and some roll outs to keep the Houston defense on edge / out of whack.

Wondering if an Ahman Green-type screen passing game with Jamaal Williams will appear today?

Win or stay even on the turnover battle and we should be just fine. I hope it doesn't come down to Special Teams.

GO PACK GO !!
