It's fun watching both the bears and vikings struggle.
Palmy - "Very few have the ability to truly excel regardless of system. For many the system is the difference between being just a guy or an NFL starter. Fact is, everyone is talented at this level."
it is amazing that duh bares had a more dynamic O back in the early 60's.

Yeah. It's like the opposing units are exactly as food/bad as each other.
The Bears terrible offense versus the Vikings'-meh defense...
... And the Vikings fine offense versus the Bears' above average defense.
And just... I guess football is happening sort of?
Weird answer to the question about a stoppable force meeting a movable object

And then watch them put up 24 and 400 yards vs us and we are all trying to justify it to ourselves because we scored 27.
Seriously. With the way our schedule is set up, this Packers defense MUST be easily in the top 10 in yards and also in the top 10 in points allowed.
There is no excuse based on our remaining schedule. The Colts will be tough. The Lions will put up points.
But the Bears twice. The Eagles and Panthers team with a backup quarterback and Titans that are hit and miss dependent on Henry.

whaaaa? at first Sid Luckman came to mind, but he played in the 50's, the Bears had Sayers in 65, so maybe he was the catalist for your comment, anyway I had to look this up and to my astonishment the greatest Bears offense according to this will surprise many till they read this, it was a loaded roster, 2013, ya, 2013 with Jay jay Cutler.
Well it was a joke but duh bares had the 4th best O out of 14 teams in 62, 5th in 61, 10th in 63 when they won the championship. 63's numbers look comparable to today despite all the rule changes that should turn any O into a pinball machine.Yoop wrote: ↑17 Nov 2020 07:56whaaaa? at first Sid Luckman came to mind, but he played in the 50's, the Bears had Sayers in 65, so maybe he was the catalist for your comment, anyway I had to look this up and to my astonishment the greatest Bears offense according to this will surprise many till they read this, it was a loaded roster, 2013, ya, 2013 with Jay jay Cutler.
The 62 bares had 6 games scoring over 30pts including a 57 spot on colts. The 2020 bares are 31st on O having hit 30pts exactly one time.
