I think he was getting along just fine, he just became miffed this past week when the Seahawks activated a previously IR’d DL (I think his name was Mone?) and made Snacks a healthy scratch in favor of Mone. All reports I saw of his time in Seattle all seemed positive.
His request to be waived, to me, is an act of a player who wants to play...despite what Pete Carroll is saying.

Exactly.
Seattle opted for the younger guy. GB needs a stout DL who can handle a double team. One of the problems for Montravious, Lowry and even Lancaster - is they can't handle the combo blocks as well as you'd like. Many times they just get blown out.
That's a big part of why the run defense gets gashed
So any time Kenny Clark needs a rest, in comes one of those lesser players- and then the opposing OC & QB go to work blowing them up
Kenny Clark needs to play fewer snaps - and Pettine needs a competent plug like Harrison. ( they worked together previously in NYJ)
Even better, Seattle paid and trained Snacks while he got in shape and up to NFL speed. So the Packers reap the benefit of their generosity.

I think he saw his playing time going to Jarren Reed and realized he might not be activated for any more games. So, either he sits out or asks to be released.

Just for kicks, I went over to a
Seahawks forum I have frequented over the years to gauge their feelings about the Snacks release and subsequent claim by the Packers. Let’s just say they are none too pleased...
For further kicks, I read
a thread concerning who they most would NOT want to face in the playoffs. The Packers, along with the Rams, headed that list of disdainful posts. Not only that, the conversation turned back to posters still arguing the legitimacy of the Fail Mary call, complete with still pictures, for those Packer fans who they just know lurk their website.
They’ve been trying to justify that call to themselves going on 5 years now.
There is still yet another thread bemoaning our status as league favorites thus getting all the ref calls and when you face GB, you better be prepared to take on the referee crew, as well.
I mean, their stuff is just pure gold.
What strikes me most is how badly the Packers, and Aaron Rodgers in particular, are in their heads. It reminds me of the 90s Packers vs Dallas where it seemed every game was lost before it began. Listening to “the 12” trying to talk themselves into being competitive against us is really, really entertaining if you find the time.

ya, what would be the use of going to a team that he would never get to play for, since he wont be allowed to play this week due to covid restrictions his only chance to play would be for a playoff bound team.
actually it wouldn't make any sense for a non PO team to take him, no he wanted to chose a team with a solid chance to compete in the SB, he wants a ring.

Honestly, this strikes me as odd because the Seahawks live in MY headspace, too. Say what you will about the Fail Mary, we got awarded a loss.
The other day I was thinking that the team hasn't felt this "team of destiny" vibe since 2014, and then I remembered what happened to end the 2014 season.
Not long before that I had been thinking about which matchups were the most ideal for us (I decided pretty much all of them were fine), but I was like "the Seahawks are pretty weak, we should crush them" and as soon as that crossed my mind, I was struck by the "oh shoot, but what if Russell Wilson just Russell Wilsons things!?'
I know that we are a better team than the Seahawks. And as many likely remember, I actually personally like Pete Carrol from my time with him at USC.
But the Seahawks give me heebie jeebies. Not because they're better than us, but because if ever there's an "any given Sunday," where anything can happen (fair or not), it's with them on the field.
But don't tell them that

No I agree. I have always said the Seahawks are spotted 10 points each game. I find it funny the Hawks say the Packers get away with everything when it is comletely the opposite.
The Seahawks get away WITH EVERYTHING.
You can't just beat them. You have to BEAT them. I can honestly say the only game in 20 years where I felt the Hawks were the better of us was Week 1 2014.
Otherwise the Monday Night game in 2006. The Fail Mary game in 2012. The NFCCG. Crosby missing FGs in 2018.
I don't think there is a legit Seahawks loss between 1999 when Holmgren beat us to now besides Week 1 2014.

I mean look at MN too. They have been crushed by the Hawks like we have where they were the better team but the Hawks somehow had more points on the board.

Guty thought enough of Harrison that he tried to sign him months ago, obviously that hasn't changed, heck Harrison could end up being signed to a contract for the next couple years if the price is right, there always room for a 2 gapping DT that plays well against the run.

I'm not certain, but I don't think the Packers can do anything about his current contract. I have a vague memory that the CBA only allows a player to sign one contract per league year. If so, they can't extend him or add a sweetener until March at which point he's a FA.
But I could be mistaken... and with a little luck this will be my final whiff in 2020. (still 15 hours to go !)

I didn't see him play for the Seahens, but based on what I have gathered, pretty much exactly what you would expect.
Harrison, 32, played in six Seahawks games, rising to their active roster after a lengthy acclimation stay on their practice squad. In typical Snacks fashion, he performed as a solid run-stuffer with less-than-solid showings on passing plays. Pro Football Focus gave him an overall score of 68.1 — his 81.7 ground grade was weighed down by his 47.9 passing mark.
