If anyone is into Uniswap, my friend made this coin 2 days ago:
Edit: PM me on the off chance anyone wants to actually get this exact coin. I was told not to share details like that anywhere online.

From last Wednesday, lol.BF004 wrote: ↑28 Apr 2021 21:54I'd try really hard to get some Ethereum long term in your portfolio, just not sure if I'd buy it today. I apologize if it runs to 3K without dipping, but anything in the 2,3XX I'd get in, prolly my price point where I'd pump more into it myself, but no guarantee it isn't going to keep running.
Could you even imagine get eth for under 2,400 anymore?

Eth is my largest crypto holding. Apparently it isn't actually a "coin" ? I don't even totally understand what it actually is, just hope it hits $10k by year end.BF004 wrote: ↑04 May 2021 10:23From last Wednesday, lol.BF004 wrote: ↑28 Apr 2021 21:54I'd try really hard to get some Ethereum long term in your portfolio, just not sure if I'd buy it today. Finally got off the school issued laptop that had a default browser on it.
Using my own laptop for work and the summer now. Downloaded the brave browser. So far today I have earned the equivelent of 6 USD Cents in BAT Token by seeing their ads.
Not bad for a couple hours of using a browser ha

Had some held for a couple of years, and it's been stuck in neutral for awhile. Though we're slowly seeing it rise now.Captain_Ben wrote: ↑03 May 2021 09:35What do you guys think of Litecoin? I bought a few coins last year and it's done ok. Glad I still have my ETH too!

It's not sketchy when you know it to be a worthless token.texas wrote: ↑03 May 2021 22:45If anyone is into Uniswap, my friend made this coin 2 days ago: https://www.dextools.io/app/uniswap/pai ... 8dee0ccc35
No idea what's going to happen. I put $250 in and it's at $8000 now, but the caveat is that I don't know that I could actually cash out if I wanted to.
494 holdlers as of tonight. Really does show that people will just buy about anything.

An Army dude where Im deployed at made $200K as of today off Doge. They did an interview with him thats going on the AFN channel.
I bought into Doge at .38c and have $6,422 in it. Wish I would have got in when every else did when it was less than a cent. A bunch of people put in money in my squadron but nothing more than a few hundred bucks but a few of them have made a few grand.

Cancelled by the forum elites.
lol yeah my share spiked to $28,000 like an hour ago. but in some sense it's fake because I could never sell it off without tanking the whole thingTheGreenMan wrote: ↑04 May 2021 22:45It's not sketchy when you know it to be a worthless token.texas wrote: ↑03 May 2021 22:45If anyone is into Uniswap, my friend made this coin 2 days ago: https://www.dextools.io/app/uniswap/pai ... 8dee0ccc35

Why would you invest into something if you didn't want to sell without worrying tanking the whole thing?texas wrote: ↑05 May 2021 00:48lol yeah my share spiked to $28,000 like an hour ago. but in some sense it's fake because I could never sell it off without tanking the whole thingTheGreenMan wrote: ↑04 May 2021 22:45It's not sketchy when you know it to be a worthless token.texas wrote: ↑03 May 2021 22:45If anyone is into Uniswap, my friend made this coin 2 days ago: https://www.dextools.io/app/uniswap/pai ... 8dee0ccc35

Flexa/Amp team did a little bit of indirect marketing yesterday:
Musk was also tagged in a later tweet.
Now they're talking up Amp on the doge subreddit, and we're seeing an increase in Amp price. It's my hope that we continue to see natural growth here, but it's nice to see it getting some attention.
Also yesterday:
Gemini exchange has partnered with a Las Vegas casino, in hopes of getting crypto being used. You can read between the lines.

Lmao my buddy found an old BTC paper wallet with a low six figure (USD) amount of BTC on it that he forgot about from 2015. That's like the dream

Damn, was so predicting that doge run up with Elon hosting SNL then subsequent sell off.
Didn’t think it’s go from 30 to 74 back down to what, 44 right now?
I would have sold off right before SNl started, buy the rumor, sell the news. Prolly could have scraped a few hundy off that if I did anything.

Alright after cramming DeFi for the past week, I have a couple thoughts:
1) They're basically all pyramid schemes at first, with some of the winners eventually able to become legitimate by way of real world rewards or ramifications, or eventually, usage as an actual currency available for trading in the real world (like BTC is in certain stores).
2) DeFi doesn't have a de facto coin like the old crypto does (BTC and somewhat ETH). This I suppose emboldens the alt coins.
3) Most of them are scams aka "rugpulls". At least on the ETH blockchain, they all have smart contracts which programmatically dictate the terms of the coin, and many of these smart contracts have poison pills that allow the creator to just steal the money. For instance, my friend bought $30 USD of a couple coins that unbeknownst to him were unable to be sold. Presumably the coins' contracts also contain provisions allowing the creator to sell.
4) The winning strategy is to be the first one to buy into coins which aren't total scams, and then take a small profit as quickly as possible before determining if it's headed for a rugpull, pump & dump, or moonshot and proceeding accordingly. There are like 100 new coins released per day so far on Uniswap (the main ETH blockchain DeFi exchange), and I have already seen several this week going 10x-100x in a few hours or days. That doesn't mean they stay there, but it does mean you can make some serious money if you play it right.

I think best winning strategy is to try to not make life changing money in a week on garbage coins. Just buy ether and link and wait a whole 5 years to make life changing money.
Can just stick to some exchanges/brokers like Coinbase or Voyager where all coins are vetted and safe.
Buy $LINK.

I have understood an entire 3 words in this thread. I think they were "the", "and" and "of".
I know what Crypto is and sort of how it works. But there is far too much and the terminology around it is beyond me. For a beginner who just wants to throw a very little amount of money into it, where is the best place to start? I only just started investing at all and the platform I use doesn't current deal in Crypto (though that's supposed to change eventually).
Do I go with sometime like Coinbase, throw $100 at ETH, DOGE, BTC, or something else? Sit back and ride the wave or play the dips?
I looked at farming, but I don't have the rig to make it worthwhile and don't want to invest in that. Tell me where to start, like I am 5 or 95.

Yeah you might be right but I really doubt it. I still don't know how real this is, but I'm going to be putting money into chasing these &%$@-coins so we'll see how I do. What is real is that if you had invested $300 in that coin when I posted about it, like I did a few days prior, you'd be up $9,000 after a week because it is 30x since then. And while it's true I can't pull out 100% of my coins, you can definitely pull out $9k worth.BF004 wrote: ↑10 May 2021 06:32I think best winning strategy is to try to not make life changing money in a week on garbage coins. So I would encourage everyone to at least look into what's going on with Uniswap and DeFi asap instead of dismissing it without a second thought. Research HOKK, HOGE, and SHIBA in particular, and then research "defi rug pulls" to learn about some of the risks. Pump and dumps also seem very common.
