I do think he goes to Denver and we get Surtain and a bunch of high picks.
Then why not just pull the trigger yesterday and we draft Surtain?
It needs to be a post June 1 trade so that the cap acceleration is split between 2021 and 2022, and I suspect that GB will make other cap moves to facilitate things as well.

The big thing for me is that Denver passed on Fields and AR has said he'd play there. No GM in the league is happy with Lock and Bridgewater as the options going into camp.

Yes.

The only CB on the roster is Jaire.

I doubt any of the others would be in the NFL in 2021 if GB cut them.
get serious, every comment is hate filled and rediculous with you, you should realize minus Rodgers the next 20 years could be Packers not reaching the playoffs instead of the 18 after Rodgers leaves after 2022, so go ahead and kick him out the door,
Do you really think that if GB cut King today that he'd be snapped up on the waiver wire? And we have guys on our roster that play behind KK.

Our DL is ok. Sans KC, it is mediocre. Our OLB is great. Our ILB is okay. S is very good and could grow to be great. CB after Jaire is a black hole.

As for Rodgers, he doesn't want to play in GB. That's him, not me.

I do think he goes to Denver and we get Surtain and a bunch of high picks.

And I think Love is a good fit for what GB does on OFF and I bet AR knows it too, which is why he wants to control his destiny now rather than wait until 2022.
King would be scarfed up in a NY minute, you must think Guty is stupid for signing KIng, but in reality I have my doubts that Stokes takes his job till maybe late this season.

you as well as Guty havn't a clue how Love will play this year if forced to, 2/3 rds of all drafted QB's never ever play close to draft status.

Rodgers was making a statement, of course he wants to play in GB, his agent has had no success after multiple visits with FO, Rodgers is simp0ly bringing the issue out to public opinion, trying to force the FO to make a deal that would allow him to finish his career in G&G.

He did?

The reports are that he would play for SF, DEN, Raiders and I can't recall the other team.

Probably coming from his agent.

And of course his (AR) silence is deafening at this point.

Very deafening, but to say HE said he'd play there is not true.

There were a lot of reports about things happening last night that turned out to be absolutely false.

AR is no different then most of us, if we put our heart into something we want the security that we'll be allowed to continue that love ( no pun) affair, Rodgers wants to know that he'll be allowed to continue as the starting QB till it's obvious he needs to retire, I doubt it's about money, it's more so about respect.

Like Green Bay in no way shape or form passing on a WR in round one.

I get it to an extent Yoop, but now that the best kept secret in the NFL for the last year is out of the bag....

Rodgers not feeling respected his time here? If it isn't about money? All over Jordan Love? :violin:

I have to say, I'm really tired of hearing about players claiming they want " security " The guy signed a contract that is going to pay him in excess of a 100 million dollars. If he can't " get by " on that, he's got problems.

As for respect, that's a 2 way street. Stop crying in public or even worse, having " your people " do it for you.
Show some balls and do it yourself.

well you can be tired of it all you want, it's human nature, and no different with high priced athletes, respect is shown with contract dollars orrrr the simple courtesy of being included even to a modest degree with team (company ) decisions.

the pick of Love screams to Rodgers your days are numbered, the only way he shouldn't be allowed to finish his contract here is through a injury, and maybe that is how the FO see's this, however they have not done anything to convince Rodgers that is the case.

alrright I should have added declining ability, but look around the league, Russell Wilson is getting it, Brady had it, drew Brees had it, most QB's of Rodgers tenure and ability get it.

The reason they get it is because the team wants them to play forever because they don't have another option. The dumbest part about this is Rodgers can force the Packers hand by going out and winning another MVP. Even if certain things point to this being his last year, the Packers have never come out and said, "this is it". They just want to keep that option open and THAT is what is driving Rodgers nuts.

right, and it would drive you nuts to, his goal is to not get shipped to a team that he stands no chance at getting another ring, and he knows obviously how hard it is to win more then one, when he signed that contract he was expecting to be allowed ti finish it, instead Guty right out of the blue changed the likelyhood of that happening, he doesn't want to be a propellent for the team to prosper at his expense by trading him a year or two prior for a bunch of draft picks after he takes the team to the door step of another SB and have something happen that causes the team to fall short, he's no different then Brady, or any athlete thats poured everything into a team only to have them cast him off once they found a younger prospect.

I really have doubts that Love will ever be as good as Rodgers prior to Rodgers actually retiring in 3 or 4 years, as I said a year ago, drafting Love was a cancer for our team and a year or two early, so obvious.

See, this is where I call BS. Rodgers is a smart guy. He knows how NFL contracts work. He could have taken less money overall to get a Kirk Cousins, fully guaranteed type of deal, but he didn't.

As far as I can tell, Rodgers hasn't said crap in public. And I don't see anyone from his camp making comments.
