Badgers can't even run out the clock right.

Mertz is just bad...

Doesn't help that the guys around him aren't at a level we've had before either. Oline and rbs are a step below what we're used to.
But yeah, he's bad.

I guess we had to &%$@ talk him. 2 decent slants and a td.

I don't have faith he can sustain it though.

The Irish third string QB is better than Mertz!

The only good thing about this lousy play is it might get Chryst canned.

Looks like the haters bailed a bit too soon in this thread. Fair weather fans. When will Leonhard move on? Head coach in college or dc in pros?

The D has been impressive and the offense has become adequate. Overall they're getting better. Illinois is surprising as well.

The Badgers seem to have dropped whatever preconceived notion they had at the beginning of the year that Mertz was going to run a pro style offense. Maybe he isn't ready, or he is just not the guy we hoped. Run the ball. Run the F'n ball all the time. Mellusi is fine, but Allen will be special. The defense is incredible and will keep you in games. Offense just needs to control some clock to keep them fresh and put up points. It is not sexy, but it is Wisconsin Badger Football, and I love it.

Mellusi is a major step back for a Wi rb. Bad as I can remember. They will continue to be the class of the west though. Amazing run as a program.

Nice win over a weak Northwestern team today. The QB is starting to look better. However the Notre Dame QB is looking better as well.
Who's going to win the Big 10 championship game?

Same team that wins it almost every year.
