Or ST that does not give up 10.
We can't win when neither the ST nor the O do their job.
As far as I am concerned the D gave up 3 points. Kudos to them.

And? I would expect an MVP QB to score 14 or more, but I wouldn't expect a STs unit to score 7. What a lazy take.
This, 100%TheGreenMan wrote: ↑22 Jan 2022 23:37Coming off another MVP year? But they can't roll with Lazard as a 1 with or without 12.TheSkeptic wrote: ↑22 Jan 2022 23:28You can't ignore the cap. Keeping Rodgers guts the D and that was the only group that came to play today.
Adams is gone, no matter what. How good would Rodgers be next season without Adams?
No, absolutely not, the Packers should sit down with Rodgers next week and ask him to give them a list of 5 teams in order of priority where he will accept a trade to. And then do it, ASAP. Take the 1st round pick and resign your remaining FA's and move on.
But you don't trade AR for one 1st rounder. And the QB class this year isn't very good even if it is a high 1.
Totally agree on the Adams assessment. It's mind-numbingly obvious when Adams comes back from an injury, Rodgers stares him down. I know he's trying to get him back in the flow of things, but he ends up playing more poorly because of it.
100% agree that STs played a role, big role, but the offense played just as big a role.TheSkeptic wrote: ↑22 Jan 2022 23:43Or ST that does not give up 10.

Obviously not, but I do expect an MVP led offense to score 14 or more.
I'm not sure what feels worse at this point, those Favre INTs or these Green Bay teams of recent. Were we ever truly favored in a number of those with Favre? To go all the way? I don't think so. So, I just kinda expected that Favre INT to seal it. Every recent year we are top dog all year, to get pounced.Labrev wrote: ↑22 Jan 2022 23:44I probably can't think entirely straight right now, but I'm pretty sure the answer is a No from me. It's become like those Favre INTs at this point. Last season was our year, but we pissed it away. This season we had to try to steal one, and we slept on our first playoff opponent.
Besides, the era of the elite QB is over. Rodgers and Brady are the last. One of those was just bested by a team that's just solid, but not amazing.
Let MLF go back to the drawing board with his scheme/playbook, no longer restricted by what Rodgers likes or not, and get a full offseason to work on making Jordan Love successful. If he busts, you can draft a new QB with the high draft you end up with.
This is a good point. We don't know what plays MLF called. All we know is the plays that Rodgers ran. The 2 are not necessarily the same.Labrev wrote: ↑22 Jan 2022 23:44I probably can't think entirely straight right now, but I'm pretty sure the answer is a No from me. I'm suspecting the bolded part is actually pretty huge. A non-HOF QB doesn't have the (tbh deserved) standing to dictate to his (better suited) HC. That's why I thought MM would do better with Dak. Dak doesn't have the chutzpah to help design the offense for his team, and MM doesn't have to worry too much about what Dak will think. Yet Dak is solid. Not all time great, but solid enough to win if he follows the gameplan.Labrev wrote: ↑22 Jan 2022 23:44I probably can't think entirely straight right now, but I'm pretty sure the answer is a No from me. I think the attitude that Rodgers expressed that he was "shocked" for the season to be over, and he hadnt really prepared for that, and he was planning the bye week before the SB....really says alot about the team and their playoff vibe.TheGreenMan wrote: ↑22 Jan 2022 23:48I'm not sure what feels worse at this point, those Favre INTs or these Green Bay teams of recent. Well, as I've cooled off throughout the night. Trust me, I'm not shocked. I would have been more shocked if he actually played like he did all year around and we finally beat the 49ers.Drj820 wrote: ↑22 Jan 2022 23:51I think the attitude that Rodgers expressed that he was "shocked" for the season to be over, and he hadnt really prepared for that, and he was planning the bye week before the SB....really says alot about the team and their playoff vibe.TheGreenMan wrote: ↑22 Jan 2022 23:48I'm not sure what feels worse at this point, those Favre INTs or these Green Bay teams of recent. That is not a workmans attitude. That is not a hungry attitude. That is "relax guys, i got us...until I dont"
That is soft.
This made me throw up in my mouth a little.
True that. MVP does not mean jack &%$@ right now, except maybe to Rodgers.Drj820 wrote: ↑23 Jan 2022 00:01I seriously think that presser completely nailed it for me in terms of the playoff problem.
Rodgers attitude is "Im the man, Im the best, relax guys, we got this"
Champions attitudes are more like:
"Get to f****** work, get your head out of your a**, we havent won anything in a decade, we suck until we hold that trophy, special teams...if you cost us i will kill you all...so get it fixed! I am the GBP QB and I will die on that field for another ring, Commercial??? Jeopardy???? Heck no, not until i get another ring or I retire, I cannot LIVE with the fact that Eli Manning has more rings than me!"
Thats it, thats the difference. Rodgers thinks hes arrived because of his MVP awards and owning the bears.
Champions count their achievements in rings.
