This is NCF's guy, right??
One of them, yes.

I really like Romeo Doubs.
A smooth operator who finds the gaps and seams to get open.
He is a deep threat
Catches the ball well in traffic
Catches the ball well on the sideline…keeping his feet in bounds.
Catches the ball with defenders draped on him
He comes back for the ball when the QB scrambles
I see Doubs as more of a contributor than Watson in both the passing game and special teams for the next couple years. He looks the part. Great pick and great value.

Love is the answer…

Palmy - "Very few have the ability to truly excel regardless of system. For many the system is the difference between being just a guy or an NFL starter. Fact is, everyone is talented at this level."

Kickoff and punt return specialist, hopefully. To risky to put Watson on kickoffs or punt returns.
you do get a bit gushy at times, I think it's a age thing, I always got excited for the draft picks, then Ted took Willard Harrel lol, point is younger people get more hyped up then older stoic fans.go pak go wrote: ↑30 Apr 2022 13:59I wanted Jermaine Johnson at 22. He was always my number draft crush. I just thought he was a top 15 guy for sure or the position didn't make sense for us to trade up. I never dreamed we had a shot at him.
I thought the value of Walker at 22 was really bad and we could have traded back to get more value.
I also said pre-draft that Wyatt was off my draft board.
But I don't b*tch this weekend. I also don't b*tch about bad picks during the season or harp on one move for 6 years straight unless a pattern starts to develop. You will start to hear me say "time to move on" or complain after patterns develop.
I wanted Wyatt over other DT's right from the start, then cooled a bit with the age and off field stuff, once I found out he didn't hit her he again became my #1 DT, we need to improve interior pass rush and he's good at that.
I don't think anyone saw the WAlker pick coming, but he seems like the ILB we wanted for years prior to Campbell, if ya want a top 5 defense ya can't have the worst run defense in the league, WAlker and Wyatt will make sure we don't, not flashy like CB's or edgers, but we'll like em just the same.
the first person to reach out to Watson after he was picked was Aaron Rodgers, to me that was significant, never heard of him doing that with any other receiver we've drafted, Guty made the type of move he did for Savage, so obviously WAtson was a targeted player by him and probably Rodgers, lots to like about WAtson, high IQ translates to quick learner, think he'll coach up fast.
This WR was selected higher than MVS and St brown, yet was basically just thought of as a ST guy in the short term by most commentary.
Was he a reach? Might he surprise us?
Idk much about him. Maybe he will give us more than we think. Maybe he gives an excuse to cut Amari

I Do Not Hate Matt Lafleur
He was definitely not a reach with those traits and production. He went right about where most thought. So why didn't he go higher? Not really sure.Drj820 wrote: ↑05 May 2022 15:08This WR was selected higher than MVS and St brown, yet was basically just thought of as a ST guy in the short term by most commentary.

He's lean so who knows how he will handle press or physical corners. Ran a lot of vertical routes and isn't refined in that area when it comes to NFL offenses. I think those are the two biggest gripes we have heard.

Saw him play against San Diego State in the Chargers' old stadium last year. He was a stud.

AFC scout: “Early third-day guy. Stretch-the-field, linear-type runner. Not a very refined route runner in multi-breaking routes because there’s some tightness to him. He does have speed to stretch a defense. He’s kind of a one-trick pony in that sense. He’s not a great multi-breaking route runner. It shows. He’s just tight … Borderline introverted type personality.”
AFC scout: “He caught my eye at the Senior Bowl. He is very mentally frail. That was very much a concern that our scouts had. He’s probably no better than a third-day guy, at best.”
NFC scout: “I think he’s a third-day guy. All he’s got is size. I don’t like him. He can’t run routes. He doesn’t have quickness … All that stuff (at the combine) doesn’t scare me. They all say what a good kid he is.”
NFC scout: “He’s an athletic and productive receiver who adjusts well to the ball and flashes deep-threat ability. Lacks dominance in contested situations, finish as a blocker and consistent ability to separate. Backup … He was raised in the inner city of LA and had very little growing up. He’ll need help to develop life skills after leaving school, and will need guidance at the next level. Still learning how to take notes and study the game. Quirky personality. Hard worker who handles his business.”
AFC scout: “He’s a really good football player. He runs good. Explosive, big-play ability. Since he played at Nevada I was skeptical about him. He’s a really good traffic catcher, too. Thing is, he’s really quick. I don’t know how they got him there.”

You're killing it Yooper! Will Harrell was a running back from the early Bart Starr head coaching years. He wore #40. Ted and Will started their NFL careers the same season.Yoop wrote: ↑03 May 2022 05:51you do get a bit gushy at times, I think it's a age thing, I always got excited for the draft picks, then Ted took Willard Harrel lol, point is younger people get more hyped up then older stoic fans.go pak go wrote: ↑30 Apr 2022 13:59I wanted Jermaine Johnson at 22. Got my Harrell's mixed up, but I'am sure you new that, gave you a lead in to more nostalgia thoughRingoCStarrQB wrote: ↑06 May 2022 20:58You're killing it Yooper! Cheeseheads ranks that 07 draft class as Teds worst, Harrell was a terrible pick, injured with bad attitude

Janice/ Janis, who cares about spelling that jerks name right, come back to the huddle with a smirk on your face after fking up another route and you shouldn't expect praise from the QB, scored 32 on the wonderlic, dumber then a box of rocks, we carried that guy for four years, it was the same with Burks, carried that bright boy to, Janis was out of the NFL when we cut him, I expect the same with Burks, and instincts had nothing to do with it, they simply for whatever reason could not grasp NFL coaching, and each where given ample time to learn

this instinctive stuff is so mixed up NCF, sure a player can physically be a perfect fit, but the mental stuff, the quick reactions, comes from repetitiously doing basically the same task for a long time, my point is that is why they are instinctive.

Heard a Jared Abbrederis company on a pod yesterday. It was meant as a compliment. You Wisconsin boys…
