It was supposed to be a new system with Pettine. That didn’t last long enough.go pak go wrote: ↑27 Nov 2022 21:21It's exciting though becaue there is somehting to build on in 2023.BF004 wrote: ↑27 Nov 2022 21:18Yeah, this if for me. Young team geling and progressing and getting healthy on O. Starting to see it in spurts, then you got MVP, I still contend enough talent on O to go where we want to go. D on the other hand. Just same old.go pak go wrote: ↑27 Nov 2022 21:11So in a few threads we have talked about if the Packers have what it takes...I have been thinking that our offense actually does have what it takes. You could see them starting to gel and getting hot at the right time. It was the defense that I was worried about. Especially with Gary out all year.
That feeling is getting stronger and stronger.
The defense just is playing so much below the sum of its parts. Our inability to stop the run is absolutely disgusting.
But this defene needs a new system. I think we have a lot of great talent in places on defense. But need a new system and new safeties.
Thing that boggles my mind the most is how leaky the front 7 is on the run. On paper...this should be a strength of ours.
Come on down and try some of our delicious green chili! Best in the world!

Stupid, $8 million in void years though...

So Jaire Alexander literally letting Smith get a first down there?
I don't know about the stupid comment.
But I just don't think it makes any sense bringing him back. We need to spend less at safety next year.

Yeah. We we knew what we were getting ourselves into to keep the 2022 season open.
I get the reasonging for another shot. It didn't work. I'm ready to move on. The positive is our 2022 draft class looks awesome and we have a few cheap FAs who are playing great this year.

Well, clearly our D is not even 2nd tier. It’s just unable to stop good teams.
Our offense is finally beginning to compete, if they’ll stick with running the ball.

They have a long tradition of that. The game I went to years ago there, Bubba Franks was carted off. And the Eagle fans were calling for him to be dragged off by his feet.Captain_Ben wrote: ↑27 Nov 2022 21:28Philly fans boo when our guys get hurt. They really are the worst.

Rodgers getting attention from the trainers. I say, hold him out of the rest of the game.
Just as a precaution!
