From Lambeau to Lombardi, Holmgren, McCarthy and LaFleur and from Starr to Favre, Rodgers and now Jordan Love we’re talking Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers football. This Packers Forum is the place to talk NFL football and everything Packers. So, pull up a keyboard, make yourself at home and let’s talk some Packers football.
I don't like it being so sudden and no warning. Changing the rules in the middle of the game. I would support an announcement or insert with this year's tickets saying if you sell more than, say, 75% of tickets in a two year period then we'll pull them. The reality is that they keep raising prices to an unaffordable level for most people, now they are taking tickets away without warning because people are recouping the insane cost of tickets. Not cool.
Yeah I can't get behind your concerns at all. They stated "have sold 100% of their tickets for multiple years"
They are first targeting season ticket holders (notice I didn't say fans) who are clearly using grandpa's season tickets as an income source and nothing more.
If you don't ge the option to renew...it's because you don't attend games and therefore the only pain you will experience is not having an asset that has higher demand than supply.
clearly?? first I don't think there are that many that sell every game, or that most that do, are descendants, I'll wait to see the numbers when the dust settles.
never had a issue with a season ticket holder selling several games to recoup these outrageous ticket prices, but if they sell more than IMO, a warning should be issued, then a repeat, and you lose your season tickets, anyone can have a rough year, or even 2 or 3 years, shouldn't lose what many have waited decades to get just because they can't afford these tickets for a year or so
I don't think for even a femtosecond that Packers ticket prices are outrageous. For comparison take a look at the price of Marquette basketball, and Brewers baseball tickets and get back to me. My Packers tickets were $85 each in 2013. Now they're $169. These are lower bowl seats (the seats are up high enough to view the whole field). They're about $1,000 per seat for 7 games now (Green Package).
FYI. I have no problem finding people to buy my tickets at face value, without resorting to Ticketmaster.
A good Brewers game ticket goes for about $60. A good Marquette basketball ticket goes for about the same price as a good Packers ticket.

If you don't attend one game in three years you are clearly (yes I said clearly) not a season ticket holder as a fan to attend games. You are a season ticket holder to make money.
They said years. 10 games per year. 7 games with Green Package and 3 games with gold package. If you don't attend 1 game out 14 or 21 games you should have them not renewed.
You are acting like this is a huge deal. If you never attend a game...you aren't missing anything anyways as a former season ticket holder.

see, YOU DON'T KNOW THIS, my experience is the staff in charge will reach out individually to these ticket holders and inform them, because that's how this had been handled in the past, and if that person has a legitimate excuse they wont lose those tickets, what about people who are disabled and give their tickets to family or friends as my cousin did years back when he was disabled, again this stuff happens on a individual basis, what I reject is your black and white attitude on this subject, this is a gray issue.
I have zero issues with dumping season ticket holders who never attend games.

This hasn't been dealt with in the past so there is no example of how it was handled in the past. This is the very first time the Packers have taken away season tickets from holders who have not attended games.

Fortunately in your extreme circumstance situation the disabled season ticket holder, who never attends games any more and instead distributes to family, can simply transfer the season tickets to a family member if the indivudal wants the tickets to stay and be used in the family.
Season tickets can be transferred up to a first cousin after a signed notary form and approval by the Green Bay Packers.
The overwhelming primary reason why people want to hang onto season tickets if they don't actually use them is because overall the Face Value is far below the secondary market value (though this has been tightening). People hang onto season tickets because there is considerable financial incentive to do so. Why give up the asset if you can easily liquidate the asset for a higher value?
The Packers are simply trying to end that cycle and I am all for it.
As for the bold, the Packers literally said they have never really exercised this before. They just collected the money from the fans and all they cared about was their season ticket was sold. Let whatever happen after that happen.

I may be wrong about the team reaching out, it's likely my cousin reached out to a personal staff member friend of ours 20 or so years ago when he could no longer attend games, when he died his son got those tickets, I have no idea what he's done with that 4 ticket package, rumor is he had to turn them over because he couldn't afford them as cost went up.
my point is it seems pretty heartless to just cut off peoples season tickets minus knowing exactly why they are selling them, people wait years to get them, and a lot of them suffer same type issues as my cousin, they better add some operators and man the phones cause they will be getting a lot of reaction about this.

My understanding is people don't wait years to get tickets. People primarily only get tickets if they bought them 30+ years ago or their parents/grandparents bought them 50 years go.
Being on the waiting list is kind of pointless because there is no season ticket turnover. There is no turnover because there is no incentive for people to ever let go of the ticket rights since it is far more valuable to just liquidate the ticket on your own and keep the profit.
If you're a fan who has season tickets and but only wants to attend a game every 3 - 5 years I have a solution for you...buy a ticket in the secondary market and spend the extra $100 for the ticket for the one game.
You're acting like it is this huge disservice to the people who can no longer renew because they never go to a game. The only situation where I can see it would suck to lose season tickets is if you are currently out of state but are planning on returning to Wisconsin in the future and want to hang onto the tickets so you have them when you move back home (ie so you can go to multiple games). In those situations, I am sure you can be proactive and work with the Packers OR just attend a damn game once per year.

This is not hard. No reason to make hard.
so then you condone the selling of tickets to a brokerage firm as Pugger spoke about when her and hubby moved for ten years, then turned them over to his brother once realized they wouldn't be moving back, just as long as they first get permission from the team? lis, special circumstances is why the packers have a full staff to deal with these issues on a personal basis.
the generic comment by Nagler doesn't add up to how our FO operates, at least it doesn't align with my experience in the past.
I think it's worth noting the comments about drafting a QB. Sean Clifford is a work hard guy. But we've normally had QB3's with stronger arms than Clifford. I won't be shocked at all if we draft one. Yeah, we're gonna get some value, I hope, for our QB2. He's remarkable (at least if he doesn't go to the Vikes).
Come on down and try some of our delicious green chili! Best in the world!
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported on Wednesday that the Green Bay Packers have tendered exclusive rights free agent safety Zayne Anderson. Exclusive rights tenders are equal to the league minimum salary, which means that Anderson, who only has two accrued years in the NFL, will make $1.03 million in 2025, should he make the roster. That money is not guaranteed, so there’s no promise he’ll make the final team when the Packers cut down to 53 players next summer.
About as good of a deal on a 3rd safety as you're ever gonna get. Dude was shockingly good last year.
With all the disappointment over not (yet) getting in on the WR FA sweepstakes, I’m not terribly worried about the offense. In my mind, I believe the Packers have enough talent to be not just good, but great.
We won’t be great in the traditional Favre/Rodgers led offense, though.
We saw a philosophical transition started last year. Josh Jacobs and Manny Wilson are both legit backs. They are the focal point. Signing 325 lb interior lineman Banks affirms the Packers are looking to build on that. The Packers now have some serious road graders along the interior line.
As far as the passing game, I think we see another philosophical transition happening. Tucker Kraft has shown elite traits. And keep in mind, the Packers liked Luke Musgrave even better. Unfortunately injuries have derailed some of his development but I think he’s well capable of becoming the Aaron Hernandez to Kraft’s Gronkowski in an passing offense modeled after the early 2000’s Patriots.
I also haven’t given up on these young WRs. Especially Wicks. Dude has the talent, he just needs to trust it and make the plays. Reed is also a weapon. Doubs is also a weapon. Together, they don’t have to carry the offense. They simply need to make plays when their respective number is called. Don’t make them be the focal point, they’re not ready for that…yet.
A reminder of what Wicks is capable of:
So yeah, I’m still high on the 2025 Packers offense despite all the handwringing over who they DIDN’T sign in FA. They got a guy who will help a great deal in becoming the offense they’re trying to become. This ain’t your 2015 Rodgers led offense. Get comfortable with that and maybe, just maybe, enjoy it.
I think we definitely need to go for a WR high, before pick 50. I personally would prefer before the end of round 1, but it all depends on how the draft falls. We have weapons on offense outside of WR to make the offense hum, but also need to prepare for the present and future at WR. In July of last year we were all at least marginally excited for what our WR position would turn into. That obviously didn't pan out in 2024, but there is talent there that can turn into good receiving threats. That didn't just completely disappear with a disappointing season.
I definitely did not want to spend the $22+ million a year it would have taken to get those top tier WRs in a trade or free agency, so not disappointed there. Also kind of like signing free agents from positions that aren't particularly premium (corner on the cusp). Seems to give us a bit more bang for our buck in the free agent market.
