No way we should give any more than a 4th for DK. He's not even the best WR on the Seahawks.
how about both, never have to many bullets in a war zone

for a 5th round trade, Deebo would add a lot more versatility to schemes MLF favors, right now we have Reed for jet sweeps, having more than just Reed would be easier to disguise the jet sweep.
and Metcalf would help after the loss of Watson, and when Christian gets healthy we'd have 2 big lanky deep threats

Looks like jets will release Adams if they can't trade him. Do the 5th round pick option to secure him. I have no interest in a 1st for DK.
Get Adams. Draft a wr day 2 and grind it out til Watson is back. I think there is a ton in tapped potential in reed and wicks.

I’d agree but a $30M cap hit makes me say no. We have to gamble on him getting paid less after release.Backthepack4ever wrote: ↑02 Mar 2025 15:12Looks like jets will release Adams if they can't trade him. Do the 5th round pick option to secure him. I have no interest in a 1st for DK.

Yeah, that's a gamble I'm willing to take.lake shark wrote: ↑02 Mar 2025 20:18I’d agree but a $30M cap hit makes me say no. Let the Jets release him then go after him. Save a draft pick and likely save on the contract if you land him. If he goes elsewhere, despite indications thus far that he's interested in a return, so be it.
...unless, of course, a trade involves a reworked contract. Then I'm in. I'd part with a 5th in a heartbeat if it meant his guaranteed return on a palatable contract.

Yea I agree and also don't think he expects playing on that current number.
Work a 3 year deal out and get him back home. It will be cheaper then what DK will cost a long with a higher pick.
IF he hits the market someone else will be willing to spend more then us imo.
It will be interesting in the next week

That scenario seems pretty unrealistic. Why would Davante ever agree to get traded to sign a contract for less money than his current contract rather than hit the open market?Backthepack4ever wrote: ↑03 Mar 2025 09:24Yea I agree and also don't think he expects playing on that current number.

Does Adams get to decide? I thought the jets do. Maybe he has a no trade clause. Wherever he gets traded to... If that happens. I guarantee they rework a deal so he isn't playing on that 30 mil number. I didn't say he isn't going to get paid, just reworked to take that cap hit down. Prob some void years to. Guaranteed money up front then probably something like Mike Evans deal would be my guesslake shark wrote: ↑03 Mar 2025 13:57That scenario seems pretty unrealistic. tae left us for the money, he will come back to us for a ring, to me that's his draw for coming here, same with DK Metcalf or some of these other players we have interest in, how low are the contract demands? that's IMO the sticking point, none will take a big cut in moneylake shark wrote: ↑03 Mar 2025 13:57That scenario seems pretty unrealistic. Eagles just gave Saquon a whole bunch more $ just because they wanted to? Hopefully Josh Jacobs doesn’t start chirping.
Jacobs had a great year. But Saquon carried the Eagles for much of a SB winning season. I think we are safe with Jacobs for another season.lake shark wrote: ↑04 Mar 2025 16:23Eagles just gave Saquon a whole bunch more $ just because they wanted to? Hopefully Josh Jacobs doesn’t start chirping.

Right!!! Jacobs will cash in next year as next season he goes for 1850 yards and a super bowl with Dante in the mix.paco wrote: ↑04 Mar 2025 17:37Jacobs had a great year. The situations aren’t even remotely the same. Also how are those 1st and 2nd round picks doing that we received? Just checking.APB wrote: ↑05 Mar 2025 06:16Using hindsight to cast judgment on the performance of the GM goes both ways...lupedafiasco wrote: ↑28 Feb 2025 16:42Gutenbumst trading for DK has gotta be the funniest thing ever when he could have just taken him in the first place.

RB, most undervalued position in professional sports, more production than receivers and gets half the money

Ringo, I agree 1000 per year for a season ticket isn't out of possible for a single guy, or even a married couple, but what about a family of 4, that's 4 K per year, that's a whole lot of spendable money for any family, especially now with cola being so much higher

Didn't say they were. I simply provided an instance of positive rearview mirror analysis, much in the way you're in the habit of providing, only in all things negative about "Gutebumst"..lupedafiasco wrote: ↑05 Mar 2025 08:02The situations aren’t even remotely the same.
