Oh, that's all?
It's not that hard to do, like the group we have right now :idn: the whole point of using a 2nd round pick on a WR every other season is so you don't have to pay one to much on a 2nd contract, same at every position except QB
So your strategy is to use your first two picks to draft every position except QB every other year so we can keep everyone on a rookie contract?

It's a solid strategy if there were only 4 positions on a football team and you batted 1.0000 every high draft pick.

the most expensive positions like WR, CB, pass rusher, will we ever get back what we just paid for Gary? or Alexander, did we get all we should have gotten for Clark? admittedly we got pretty good return from him, but we shouldn't be in this to make players rich, or the richest at there positions, we cave to contract demands, sometimes it's really painful, Bakhtiari is a good example. :idn:

That's insane. But I love it.

Also worth pointing out that KC's 2017 was a meaningless game the final week of a season after Mahomes had sat the bench for the first 16 weeks of his rookie year. I wonder when their last was prior to that. I'm sure there are extenuating circumstances for others, but this one we know about off hand

Just came across this paragraph in an article about the 49ers on Fox Sports.com.
With a boatload of draft picks bolstered by compensatory picks due to free-agent defections and minority coaching and front-office hires, the 49ers could quickly upgrade their roster with a series of shrewd draft weekend maneuvers that result in a handful of blue-chip players and developmental prospects joining the squad.
So now the NFL is giving draft picks for not hiring Whites? WTF?!

I believe the rule is if your minority coach/front office person is hired as a head coach or GM elsewhere...you get a 3rd round comp pick.

Rule has been around for like 3 or 4 years.

Been my #1 guess for a few months

Fields the Aaron to Trubisky’s Favre.

I wonder what the trade value is. I would imagine the Bears want a first but I can’t imagine anyone in their right mind giving that for Fields.

Atlanta is still my clubhouse leader. Pick 43 plus swapping 8 for 9. That seems fair to me.

I think maybe a 2nd and bring a later pick back.

Not exactly the qb you wanna be moving a high pick for and giving a 2nd contract to.

I would give exactly nothing for Justin Fields. He isn't good enough to win a Super Bowl with, so why bother?

With a great team around him he MIGHT get you to the Divisional.

Jimmy G BUSTED for PEDs. Will lose a $11M bonus in the process. Ouch!

So I'm wondering then if the Raiders void his entire contract, cut him loose and he becomes a FA.

Pretty sure it doesn't work that way. Raiders still on the hook for any guaranteed money/upfront money they paid him.

Anywhere that's mentioned? What I'm seeing is prescription meds.

Prescription meds without league approval and he's not contesting the suspension. Sounds a little more nefarious than just smokin' some ganja.

Simply means Love's price tag will go up.
