Simmons finished the 2021 season with 80 tackles (60 solo), five interceptions, 12 passes defended and 1.5 sacks. Simmons' five interceptions led all Denver defenders in 2021, and his 80 total tackles were good for second on the team behind fellow safety Kareem Jackson.

Good for Edgar!ESPN's Dan Graziano reports the Bills are expected to interview Raiders WRs coach Edgar Bennett for their offensive coordinator vacancy.
Bennett is the second WRs coach to interview for the Buffalo offensive coordinator gig. Baltimore's Tee Martin is the other. Bennet has offensive coordinator experience in his background. He served in that role for Green Bay from 2015 to 2017. Since the team fired him at the end of the 2017 season, he has served as the Raiders' receivers coach. After getting a 1,000-yard season from Hunter Renfrow and plenty of splash plays from Zay Jones, Bennett may have earned another shot as a coordinator.
My point was sort of a troll, but like many trolls, it has truth to it.
Fat coaches (and there is a distinction between fat and merely overweight, i.e. I would say the only fat coaches in the list from pckfn are Reid and maybe Arians), tend not to do all that well. Idk why. Maybe it's a coincidence. But the guys that look like offensive linemen just seem to suck more often than not. I mean hell, MM won when he was noticeably trimmer than he is now. As GB coaches stay here longer and presumably engorge themselves on cheese curds, they always get 1) fatter; 2) worse.
I would never want to make an actual hiring decision based on that though. In Daboll's case, he probably deserves a shot. I moreso suspect that Josh Allen is the reason for Josh Allen's success, and I would not be surprised at all if Daboll follows the trend of NYG coaches and flames out after 2 years, but he has definitely earned the chance at a HC gig. Daniel Jones seems like a bust though, and that franchise reeks of losing.

This is my favorite Harbaugh temper tantrum.

I'm really not liking MN hiring Harbaugh. But it could turn out okay if it forces us to get better every year, like the NFC West always does. We've had an attitude of being content with standing pat many times over the past 15 years because nobody in our division has ever really done anything to challenge us, and maybe that will change now. The NFC West has to view it as sort of an arms race over the past decade because they all push each other, and they're rewarded by getting SB appearances more than the other divisions.

Harbaugh always deserts a team when the going gets tough. I wonder what the over/under is on how long he will last in Minnesota?
I don't think it's a coincidence Harbaugh is leaving Michigan following the ONE YEAR he finally prevails over rival Ohio State. I'm sure he saw reality will again sink in for the Wolverines and he'll be back to being a middling but overpaid big-in-name-only college coach.williewasgreat wrote: ↑02 Feb 2022 05:01Harbaugh always deserts a team when the going gets tough. I guess he figures it's best to git while the gittin' is good.
And the way this thing is timing out, you wonder if Patrick Graham is going to have something to say along with Flores. We'll see, but doesn't look good.APB wrote: ↑02 Feb 2022 06:15I don't think it's a coincidence Harbaugh is leaving Michigan following the ONE YEAR he finally prevails over rival Ohio State. I dont like Harbough. I dont think he is a championship coach. But, for at least a short time, he gets his teams winning. Which is far more than the Vikings can generally say about themselves. Sure, I expect it to flame out eventually...but in the short term...having Harbough in the north with us, seeing the dork twice a year, and him (probably) bringing Fangio in as his DC...is...well, interesting to me.

Its very clear he isnt winning a title at Michigan. I dont blame him for achieving his goal of beating OSU and then bouncing. And again, I am no Harbough fan. But he is leaving while he is on top, smart.APB wrote: ↑02 Feb 2022 06:15I don't think it's a coincidence Harbaugh is leaving Michigan following the ONE YEAR he finally prevails over rival Ohio State. Georgia and Bama both are MILES ahead of Michigan in terms of talent, heck..so is Ohio. Harbough had no chance to bring them a title. Same reason Kelly left ND for LSU, he knew what was up too.

Jims a jerk, and that probably rubs some recruits the wrong way, and could be the reason he has trouble beating OS, but he knows what it takes to win, smart hire by the VikingsAPB wrote: ↑02 Feb 2022 06:15I don't think it's a coincidence Harbaugh is leaving Michigan following the ONE YEAR he finally prevails over rival Ohio State.
