Yeah. People like this always gave Goff a bad wrap and underestimated his abilities.Drj820 wrote: ↑18 Oct 2023 16:29When the Rams traded him, they made it seem like he was trash. They treated him like trash. But the truth is that they just really wanted Stafford, or thought Stafford could get them over the hump that Goff could not. And thanks to a miracle down in Tampa, they were actually right.Scott4Pack wrote: ↑18 Oct 2023 14:57Correct. But he's actually playing better ball (if even only because of consistency) with the Lions.
But Goffs actual play was just fine in LA. He was having an above average---but not elite, career.
Just look at the stats. He has always been better than his reputation. And he has won tons of games, in both places.
2017-Yards: 3804, TDs: 28, INTs: 5
2018-Yards: 4688, TDs: 32, INTs: 12
2019: Yards: 4638, TDs: 22, INTs: 16 (i admit, thats way too many INTs)
2020: Yards: 3952, TDs: 20, INTs: 13
Goff threw too many picks sure, but he has always been able to sling it. Goff has always been better than advertised.

Tonight on TV with Larry McC and LaCoach, LaCoach spewed the need for "complementary football" with respect to a balanced running and passing game on offense. Before he spewed complementary football between the offense and defense. He doesn't talk about Special Teams lately.
LaCoach still lacks fire IMO.

His spewing has evolved into platitudes. Platitudes that are not believed nor appreciated by educated Packers fans and players. Including former players. It's basically become a shoot show from the TV studio. I'd rather watch Ariens snowblower commercials than hear his spewing.RingoCStarrQB wrote: ↑18 Oct 2023 21:35Tonight on TV with Larry McC and LaCoach, LaCoach spewed the need for "complementary football" with respect to a balanced running and passing game on offense. Achilles
As much as I appreciate Nixon's aggressiveness, right now he and the return unit(s) are costing the team.
to go with the Achilles, I also reading theres questions concerning the knee's, I thought he had healed from those leg issues because he played some last year, I actually figured he was showing some attitude adjustment issues or something along with that.
I don't have high expectations, I was hoping another guy named Taylor would fill that position, alas we are to poor for him
Colts wanted too much ...as noted by 30 other teams taking a pass as well.
Jonathan Taylor's new salary wasn't the issue - the requested draft picks were.

no quarter, I get that, but with simple visual one can easily see his problems, poor OL blocking in both phases, and receivers who still lack the ability to win leverage when running there routes, I know, you know, just how important that is Ringo, so why you wont consider that when evaluating Matt, who knows.RingoCStarrQB wrote: ↑19 Oct 2023 11:33His spewing has evolved into platitudes. I loved what he brought to the Packers in 2019, and imo nothing he did led to the decline we saw last year or even this season, He's a low key X's and O's coach
don't remember what they wanted, I expect it was a first, maybe more, you know me, I'am always in the buying mood

Point well taken Yoop. Sure LaCoach has sub par talent playing on offense now. But that doesn't relieve him of his inconsistencies and platitudes.Yoop wrote: ↑19 Oct 2023 12:56no quarter, I get that, but with simple visual one can easily see his problems, poor OL blocking in both phases, and receivers who still lack the ability to win leverage when running there routes, I know, you know, just how important that is Ringo, so why you wont consider that when evaluating Matt, who knows.RingoCStarrQB wrote: ↑19 Oct 2023 11:33His spewing has evolved into platitudes. I hope Stokes can consistently live up to the positive legacies of his jersey number. Jeter, Newsome, Woodson, to name a few.BSA wrote: ↑21 Oct 2023 12:54Bill Huber with an article on the return of Eric Stokes, activated today
