Bears giving out $50 million to Keenan Allen and Kevin Byard next two season. About $35 million this year $15 next. And giving up draft picks for them.

All that cap could go to front load some deals of some young guys entering their prime, or cap carryover.

All for the purpose to get to 7 wins instead of 5 so Eberflus and Poles don’t get canned after this year.

We have our faults as a front office, but my gawd are we in so much better hands.

Man, am I glad to be rid of the Rodgers circus.

Loved him as a player and don’t necessarily take issue with many of his non-football opinions but, that said, it’s much funner watching and listening to him and the associated media circus from afar than it was with him as QB1.
I took FLAK on the old forum, circa 2015, for positing the idea that Aaron Rodgers was not 100% mentally committed to football. There were hints back then that he wasn't all in. Now it is obvious. He believes that he is meant for bigger things.

Agree that we are better off without him. I want my QB's committed with a laser focus in the mold of Kobe Bryant.
I apologize. You were right.
Respect.

come on, he was into football just as much as most are, specially 9 years ago Papa, you don't go through what Rodgers did and not be into what your doing, McCarthy often said Rodger burns the mid night oil prepping for up coming games.

I agree Rodger acts like a idiot at times, half truths and conspiracy promoting, but he was as into this stuff as Favre or others have been.

Favre who famously skipped camps and would (by his own admission) never so much as pick up a football all offseason? :rotf:

To be honest, I remember an offseason Hollywood type of show that had Aaron Rodgers on as the guest in like, idk 2009 or so. Rodgers said something like "football is my career, but music is my passion", and at that point I second-guessed whether he would ever amount to much (at that point I already thought he was very elite, even though the rest of the country didn't realize it yet). But with an answer like that, it made me doubt.

Then he won the SB like a year later and put together some MVP seasons and I quickly disregarded the whole thing. Passion helps but it isn't a requirement.

no,no,no, the Favre who had his own personal room with a half dozen monitors and 100's of videos versus just a locker like all the other players :rotf:

I don’t think that. But Minny clearly the instigating party, id have asked for more or been fine if Minny found a better partner to trade with.

But I’m guessing that should be a decent ‘25 2nd rounder for Minny if Sam Darnold or not a top 3 QB is starting.

And if they end up with a top 3 pick, guessing Justin Jefferson will be including.

4 previously QBs on rookie contracts have been traded.

None of them are named Justin Fields.

So Bears seemed to have moved onto Caleb.

Commanders traded Howell and have no one.

Patriots traded Jones and have no one.

So Vikings must be looking to like 4-6 to take McCarthy?

Unless somehow they move up to #1.

#11, #23 and Justin Jefferson?

Or just ‘25 and ‘26 firsts and maybe more?

I think they’re going up to 5. All reports are the Cardinals desperately want MHJ. Chargers really don’t have good value picking at 5 with what they need. Makes sense for them to move down.

Do you really think the Vikings are going to trade Jefferson? Everything I've seen they still plan on getting a deal done.

Definitely going to see QB's going 1-2-3, maybe even 4 if the Cardinals are willing to slide down a bit.
