You do if the league is gonna vote to keep the rule again next year anyway.go pak go wrote: ↑26 Mar 2024 10:09You don't make a decision on a rule that could stay in the game in perpetuity based on a player you have for a couple of years.Yoop wrote: ↑26 Mar 2024 10:05becomes more like just a run play, slows the high speed collisions, requires quality run style blocking to spring the ball carrier past the 30 yrd line.
this seems like a good thing all around, not sure why the Packers rejected this, it seems a perfect situation for us, we have a very good returner with Nixon, glad it passed.
It's interesting to note that the average yards per return was lower in the XFL (21.3) compared to the NFL (23.0) last season. The main reason for the change was that 97% of the kickoffs were returned in the XFL last season compared to only 22% in the NFL.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑26 Mar 2024 21:32IMO at the NFL level this is going to create an insane amount of kicks returned for TDs. Almost to the point where it becomes a big time contract.
always felt as soon as a team scored, I had 10 minutes to take care of all my necessaries, such as bathroom breaks, refreshments, snacks, ball and chain pacification, got ta keep the wife happy.CWIMM wrote: ↑27 Mar 2024 04:54It's interesting to note that the average yards per return was lower in the XFL (21.3) compared to the NFL (23.0) last season. do you happen to have the average starting field position after a kick off between the 2 leagues?CWIMM wrote: ↑27 Mar 2024 04:54It's interesting to note that the average yards per return was lower in the XFL (21.3) compared to the NFL (23.0) last season. Unfortunately I was only able to find play-by-play data from week 4 on from last year's XFL season. Since then, the average starting field position was 29.7 yards on a total of 299 kickoffs.musclestang wrote: ↑27 Mar 2024 09:52do you happen to have the average starting field position after a kick off between the 2 leagues?CWIMM wrote: ↑27 Mar 2024 04:54It's interesting to note that the average yards per return was lower in the XFL (21.3) compared to the NFL (23.0) last season. thanks, I figured starting field position would be better, just stands to reason, more returns = more returns past the 25.CWIMM wrote: ↑28 Mar 2024 08:52Unfortunately I was only able to find play-by-play data from week 4 on from last year's XFL season. As far as I know it was 25.2 yards in the NFL.
Jaguars signed TE Josiah Deguara, formerly of the Packers, to a one-year contract.
Deguara was a third-round pick of the Packers in 2020, and has totaled 47 receptions for 436 yards and two touchdowns for his career. He managed only eight catches for 65 scoreless yards last season, as rookies Tucker Kraft and Luke Musgrave earned significant playing time out of the gate. Deguara won’t have any fantasy relevance in Jacksonville’s offense.
Didn’t he get J Loves first TD? I remember him taking a screen to the house with incredible speed and thinking where the heck did that come from. Then he faded back into mediocrity and did nothing of note all last year.
They won't care what he wears. They will care how he conducts himself.
