Whale of a song from an outfit of Jack White of the White Stripes fame. Fills all of the headphones without getting clogged up.:

The Raconteurs are a fantastic band and are much beyond what Jack White was able to offer as a member of The White Stripes. Amazing what happened when he surrounded himself with other competent musicians/artists! ;)

Been listening to a lot of Dino Jr lately along with Echo and the Bunnymen, The Smiths, Pixies, Public Image Ltd, early REM, etc...an era and style of music that fit perfectly within that snapshot of my youth. Fortunately, it's still really good music to go back and listen to!

I finally went to a rock concert (Sonic Temple in Columbus, Ohio) for the first time in too long. I just went for one day. I saw (in this order): Nothing More, The Pretty Reckless, beginning of Deftones's set, most of Grandson's set, last song in the set of AWOLnation, bits and pieces of Sublime, and Foo Fighters who ofc were the headline act. Awesome shows! I might post a few of the songs I most enjoyed over the weekend.

That’s a fun lineup. Diverse but quality in their own styles and genres. Glad you enjoyed it!

If it’s me, though, I’d have found time for the entire Deftones set. Just sayin’…

Speaking of concerts, took the wife to see Cody Johnson…again…on Sunday night in Norfolk, VA. Second time seeing him this year, he’s a favorite of hers. This was her this-is-what-I-want-for-Mother’s-Day gift from me. He’s pretty good as far as country artists go but if I see him again it’ll be too soon…

I saw him at Stagecoach last year. I liked what he had to say in between songs but thought the music overall was meh.
