From Lambeau to Lombardi, Holmgren, McCarthy and LaFleur and from Starr to Favre, Rodgers and now Jordan Love we’re talking Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers football. This Packers Forum is the place to talk NFL football and everything Packers. So, pull up a keyboard, make yourself at home and let’s talk some Packers football.
Had to brush up on the rules, myself, but with all the guys coming back, a PS elevation likely means inactivating another guy on the 53. I wasn't aware of this part of the rule, but you can only have 48 guys active, even after PS elevations. Given we are fully healthy, minus MVS, we are already going to be sitting healthy players.
Can practice squad players play?
In the case of injuries to active roster players, or potential COVID issues, teams can elevate up to two practice squad players to the active roster before 4 p.m. ET the day before their scheduled game. They can do this without having to remove players from the active roster, which gives them the opportunity to have 55 players to pick from on game day.
They’re still required to list seven as inactives, though, so no more than 48 active players per week.
In the event of a late positive COVID test result, teams can also elevate an additional practice squad player within 90 minutes before kickoff.
Practice squad players that are elevated to the active roster revert back to the practice squad the following day.
I'd do Cobb on Punt Return and Aaron Jones on kick return.
I wouldn't dress Amari Rodgers.
I would consider Cobb for both roles, actually.
Jones is the better runner in space. So I would go with him in KR. But you would have to hope Cobb has better fielding abilities for punts. His 2021 record though sucks.
Yeah. Cobb had one mistake and Moore had one okay game.
I still trust Cobb more.
With Amari, there have been enough snaps to evaluate and tell he sucks (at the moment). With Cobb, way too few this season. Also, earlier in the season we kinda just threw Cobb in there. Now, with the bye, he should've had proper practice snaps to be better prepared.
Demeco Ryan is interviewing with the Vikings tomorrow.
Any and all distractions welcomed on that front.
Guessing he won’t even go back to SF with the team tonight.
A lot of those interviews have been virtual, at least the initial ones when there have been more than one. I'd guess he travels back regardless of outcome but especially if they win.
Man, if I’m offering up like a $50 million guaranteed contract to someone, I’m damn sure gunna shake their hand and look them in the eyes first. Even if it’s just to help weed through initial round of interviews.

Be positive, he might as well take the short flight to the twin cities

I'm thinking he'll want to travel with the team in order to participate in player off-season exit interviews tomorrow...
