Maybe I missed it during the game, but never saw mentioned Aaron Jones joined the 5K club.
Shocked to see James Starks on that list.
Bat &%$@ crazy to think Aaron could pass Paul Hornung next year if he’s back.
Just curious, who would you expect to see before Starks? It's not that he was great (601 in his best year), just pretty consistent for a while.
Also, Rodgers is mostly longevity, like a lot of records. He averages out to a little over 200 yards per year.
Guess I don't recall Starks ever even getting a 2nd contract. With that in mind, guess I would have seen Jamal Williams on there ahead of him maybe. Obviously the 2nd contract changes that.
And yes, I do understand Rodgers is due to longevity.

we only have 3 RB with 50 TD's or more, in all our storied history of rock pounding, only 3, and look at Taylor, that guy was a TD machine, someone said during Hornungs 180 pt season that Taylor carries it to the 5 and Hornung takes it in from there didn't have these stats to look at.
Interesting that two WRs who have been pined for at various times on this forum - George Pickens and Chase Claypool - both fall in the "suck" quartile of that particular graph.

Absolutely true. But in addition to that, Jimmy the Rat (as Nitschke called him) sometimes felt the need to take a left or right turn to go find someone to run over on his way to the end zone and that might have cost him a TD or 2.

FWIW, it was 176 points, and in that year, Paul had more TDs than Jimmy.

well I'am sure Sammy the wannabe Rat killer Huff would support that comment Jimmy would rather run over a defender then to have them licking his boat heels.
We grew up during the greatest era Bogey, lots of great players and a dominate team.
I remember the rumor that Taylor did actually chase a rat ( more likely a field mouse) out of the temporary lockers in the late 50's, some rumors reported he actually stepped on it and killed it, but these where just rumors, I have no factual evidence to support these claims

WR Davante Adams was asked in a recent interview about his favorite moment in Green Bay:
That's a good one
The Passing Chronicles: 2022 Week 13
Dusty takes a look at the Packers passing game in their Week 13 victory over the Bears.

In a season like this, there always end up being two factions of fans: the ones that say “keep winning, no matter what,” and another side that says, “winning now kills your draft status, so just stop winning.” It’s an oversimplification, of course, but that’s how an opening paragraph tends to go.
I can see both sides. But here’s one thing I do know: if you’re rolling into your rivals’ stadium with a chance to take the all-time NFL wins record with a win? Buddy, you go for that win with everything you’ve got. And the Packers did exactly that, with some strong, consistent running from AJ Dillon and yet another big game from Christian Watson.
But here’s one thing I do know: if you’re rolling into your rivals’ stadium with a chance to take the all-time NFL wins record with a win ?

Yes you do.
Playing football is really hard...and playing football for draft position is just a polluted mindset.
Packers moved up for Savage, didn't really work out
Packers moved back for Alexander and hit a home run+
Packers moved up for Jason Spriggs, didn't really work out
Packers moved back for Eddie Lacy, got a talented RB who helped them make the NFCCG
Packers moved up for Christian Watson, looking good so far
Packers moved back for Kingsley Enagbare, also looking good so far
The point isn't to argue each of these draft selections above, so kindly spare us the ad nauseum.
The point is that moving up in draft position isn't always better- that's just the nature of the draft.
So, the 2022 Packers won another game vs a bitter rival...Good news ? Bad news ? Who knows ?
Reminds of this old fable
An old man and his son worked a small farm with only one horse to pull the plow
One day , the horse ran away.
“ How terrible,” sympathized his neighbors What bad luck !
“Who knows whether it is bad luck or good luck” the farmer replied
A week later the horse returned, leading five wild mares into the barn.
“What wonderful luck !”, the neighbors exclaimed
“Good luck? Bad luck?” Who knows answered the old man
The next day, the son, trying to tame one of the wild mares fell and broke his leg.
“How terrible, what bad luck! “
The following week the army came to all the farms to take the young men for war, but the farmer’s son had a broken leg and was of no use to them, so he was spared.
Good Luck? Bad Luck ? Who knows?
Everything has a purpose, a lesson; it is for you to make the best use of it."
.
Thanks for sharing. Looks like both teams wore dark jerseys. Oh.......and the goalposts look awfully odd. Curly had to be proud that day.
GO PACK GO !!
Yes, those goalposts are odd. They have extra bracing that I've never seen before.
The game was played at the Milwaukee Mile, at the Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis. Presumably they were installed just for the game and then removed afterward.

Cool story about how State Fair was chosen for the Title game -( $$$)
Those goal posts look like they were designed by a committee
Packers 13 World Championships were won in:
Green Bay
New York: Polo Grounds and Yankee Stadium
West Allis/State Fair Park
Los Angeles Coliseum
Miami Orange Bowl
New Orleans Superdome
Dallas JerryWorld
...and wherever the next one is lurking.

Remember, the first three of the 13 weren't won anywhere in particular.

Yes, back then the team with the best record by the end of the season was declared the champion.

#Packers announce they have signed T Jean Delance and C Michal Menet to the practice squad and released DL Jack Heflin and WR Dede Westbrook to make room.
