I've been to a number of NFL stadiums, including 4 different for the 3 Florida teams, 2 in California, Chicago, HumptyDome, St Louis, New Orleans. Removing the green and gold glasses, still no other stadium has what Lambeau has! From the parking lot and the atrium, to the first view of the field entering the bowl, and then the pregame pageantry up to kick off! It's literally MECCA for football!

I haven’t seen this posted yet, but another Lombardi era Packer has died. Bob Long, a fast receiver with great hands passed away. He continued to live in Wisconsin after his football career ended. I always liked Bob Long because when he was playing with the Packers he played on their traveling basketball team (he was a basketball player in college). After the 1965 season, they came to my hometown for one of those games. I took my scrapbook of newspaper clippings from the Packers to get autographs. Bob Long took the time to look through the booklet and complimented me on it. Ray Nitschke also looked through it and complimented me on it. You wouldn’t believe how much that meant to me. RIP Bob.

I too saw Bob Long on that basketball team along with Nitschke and Weatherwax. I don't recall who the 4th guy was. Might have been Fuzzy.

I think the 4th player was Doug Hart. The play the high school Phys Ed teachers 4 vs. 5. Packers won.

Coupled with this:
I think it's safe to say Wicks has a good handle on route running and gaining separation. Time to spend more time in front of the JUGS machine.
Just sayin'...

more info from Packer Wire, GB front office was in duck country ogling the beef.
obviously Harmon was the main ogle et, however, Jordan Burch DE would have caught their interest as well, would be shocked out of my socks though for Guty to go 1 and 2 with improving the pass rush

Pickens trade rumors make zero sense to me. I haven't seen any reports of him being disgruntled or anything, so why would PIT move a super talented young player on a rookie contract?
(And if he *is* being a headcase then I don't want him—if Mike Tomlin can't keep you in line, no one will).

Absolutely crushed the photoshop to make Pickens look like a Packer.

I really wanted Pickens out of college. I want level headed guys though. not everything is going to be smooth sailing and I want guys with the mental fortitude to stick with it during the rough stuff, not create more rough stuff.
I don't watch the steelers much though so how much is real and how much is media, I do not know.

I guess that's the point I was making earlier. There is headcase stuff there, but would he still be worth it? I would take the chance. Now maybe I wouldn't if I became informed that he is a Major problem. Maybe Tomlin just got sick of his ass after this many years. Maybe his issues are minor and the team could deal with them. There is a ton of reward there IMO. The final piece kind of reward.
Most of us thought Jacobs would do well getting away from the dumpster fire Raiders and he did.
Maybe Pickens also thrives with better offensive mind/coach, quarterbacking and a run game that demands 8 in the box quite often? Just saying. Any other WR in that class would be fine too. My guess is the Eagles are pretty damn happy with their move for AJ Brown.

That's a pretty fair take.
However with Jacobs it wasn't about his attitude and ego, it was about the Raiders being a dumpster fire. Not sure we can really say that with Pickens.

Your right. And people that have reservations about acquiring him I don't have a problem with their thoughts. I just know if Gute and MLF pulled the trigger, I would be crazy pumped.

I'd be super bummed if we didn't win another superbowl in my lifetime (don't really want to make it 94) but at least I'll never have to see the vikings win one

I think these Packer wire reporters check the huddle, get a tone, and then write articles concerning our opinions. seems some of us were discussing this a month ago. Good article that exposes that our receivers are not as bad as many believe, and Love's health issues were worse and complicated the return of late 2023 production
It is much more likely the general disjointedness of Green Bay's passing attack, largely due to Love's injuries, was to blame for the receiving group not taking a step forward in 2024, rather than them doing things markedly differently or worse than the previous year.
