2023 Dynasty League Discussion

Cheesy topics (like the Cheese Curds thread) go here. Topics that aren't Packer related will be moved here as well.

Mmmm.... cheese.

Money changes the game, so to speak. I put "minimal" effort into building the team to this point. I am not sure I would want pay for what I have done, at this point.

Aw dammit, that’s right.

We should definitely collect the money beginning of the year too. Probably even before the draft.

Should be $20 for last and $20 for the upcoming year, ey?

And thanks YoHoChecko for getting this back organized.

Having just read back the discussions around the offseasons (because I was trying to collect history on how we've done thingsa in the past and put it somehwere convenient for me and BF to reference in the future), the vote and chat around money was specifically because all of us like this league and want to care about it more, but the lack of money in this league relative to our other leagues leaves more people putting in "minimal effort," as you said, which makes it a little less fun.

The money was supposed to encourage us to, going forward, put a little more time and attention into it.

And the results and post about it were based on the survey that packfntk put out about it, not based upon some arbitrary decision.

So it seems like we chose, democratically, as a league, to pay for this league moving forward, but then didn't do anything about it.

Obviously, paying for a year that already happened would ruffle feathers. But we should try our best to collect $20 from our membership this year, in my view, unless doing so creates some sort of membership revolt.

Does that mean I won't be getting my money that I won?

Was a legit vote last year, it passed, everyone knew it, anyone could have backed out. I sent Nick his $20.

My fault, I didn't realize we went forward with the money. After the poll I didn't see any other talk about is, so didn't think we were implementing it. I'll get onboard. Who gets the $20?

So if you got 2nd, you should owe nothing and be getting some back.

I'm just so thrilled at the insane talent I have from last year's WR class with Watson and Pickens. Not necessarily the best fantasy options in the class, but dang, the talent. Loving it.

I have to go back to the previous year to be thrilled with Chase and Sun God. If I think about last year, I have to remember taking Skyy Moore ahead of Garrett Wilson. :thwap:

What's the pay out breakdown. I guess I never saw that.

 • $20 back to the person with most points accumulated during the regular season.
 • $120 for the winner.
 • $60 for 2nd place.
So $140 to me, $60 to Carp.

Forgot about that. I'll shoot you a cashapp here in a bit.

How about this year? And more importantly, when are cuts due?

That is a BF thing. I would imagine he will collect for 24.
