So we are absolutely going to hear about a deal regarding likely Z and Adams in the next 24 hours to get under the cap.
think so too, we never seem to do this stuff till the last second, heck it's probably already done, gotta clear 9+ mil. by midnight, right?
3pm tomorrow.

And not $9 million. Ingalls' tweet is misleading. We have to clear $1,782,617+Jones+Sullivan.

You are correct. He should be clarifying that, as well as others.

1.75 + Jones (minimum $4.25 million...probably $6.5 million) + Sullivan (1.5 million) = likely $7.5 to $9.5 million.
I guess if we want to get into the symantix of when Aaron Jones actually "signs" the contract to have cap actually hit is another discussion but a pointless one as it's simply based on timing.

Jones is 4 years - $13 million guaranteed. Cap could be as little as $3.25 million, could even be smaller is not all $13 million is signing bonus. Chandon Sullivan is $2.133 million according to Demovsky.
So the smallest number will be $7,165,617. No one knows what Jones is hitting at precisely. Then there may be the Amos restructure which isn't being officially reported anywhere.

At this point how much is official? It was widely reported that Amos restructure saved $750k off the cap.

I tend to take Spotrac as they wait until things are official with the NFL. If we take into account Amos' restructure then we are looking at a low number of $6,415,617.

If he was up for it, I would have liked to bring him back for one last go-around; we could use a competent vet at one of the CB spots, but the guy is 38 and he would know if he had another season in him.

To those who wanted William Jackson in Green Bay.
Set your bar lower.
"William Jackson and Shaquill Griffin sit atop the corner market, and while the sense I get from teams is that they'd love to get them in the $12-$14M range, I suspect they get to $15M. Maybe higher," La Canfora wrote on Monday morning.

Free agent running back Jamaal Williams posted a goodbye message to the Green Bay Packers and the franchise’s fans on his official Instagram account on Monday, signaling a looming departure as the legal tampering period opened.
Williams thanked the team and the fans and said he is going to “miss it all” in Green Bay.
The Packers re-signed Aaron Jones on Sunday, which all but closed the door on Williams returning.
From his Instagram post (unedited): “Thank you Green Bay for accepting me and letting me grow into the Man I am today and still thriving to be. I have nothing but RESPECT and LOVE for everyone who works in the Packers facility from Players, Coaches, all the employees that work in Lambeau, and the fans!! I’m going to miss It all, cherish all my memories, and keep striving for Greatness. I’m looking forward to what’s ahead and excited to grind for what I want but nothing but love GB it’s been real”

Pretty much what I thought the prudent moves were regarding all of our RFA's. I wouldn't have changed a thing.
