This is why I hate the 3 wild card teams. Just put a fork in the trash teams. Anybody “in the hunt” as the 4th wc team and beyond is trash
I agree. I hate expanding playoff systems. Make it hard to make the playoffs. It should be an accomplishment to make the playoffs. Always thought that was something the NFL set itself apart from other leagues when it was 6 of 16 make it.

I also hate it that only 1 team gets a bye. Just thought the old system was perfect.
I'm not liking the 17 game season either.

The old NFL formula was perfect. 16 game season. 4 game preseason. 6 team playoff.

It was awesome.

Don’t look now but I think the Packers actually outplayed an opponent on ST today…

:woohoo:

On that note, I hope Keisean Nixon runs every kickoff he gets his hands on this year back no matter how deep it is. Dude is just a natural at it. Plus he’s fun to watch and I don’t fear him boning it up. Nothing to lose, screw it.

Yeah. I'm definitely a fan of bringing him back next year. He is the type of guy you love having on your football team. Very deceptively strong at kick returning too.

Each team he touches the ball I think "idiot" and then he blows past the 30 yardline.

Lol scrub Rodgers overthrows an open Lazard and then is "expressing frustration" on the sideline, what a clown.
I couldn't see today's game but was he expressing frustration at Lazard or himself?

For the first time in 101 years, the Chicago Bears are not the winningest franchise in the NFL.

A win is always a win. A win is always good. All the time. Forever.

That said, I’m wondering if Jaire is wanting to pad his stats. Getting beat twice by “lesser than” WRs was pitiful for the guy who is supposed to be elite. He needs to knock that crap off. Even with his INT…

Time to celebrate this win. Next one will be tougher.
I agree a win is always a win and a win over the Bears is even better.

But, a December home game against the 3-9 Rams, with the Pack coming off a bye, will be more difficult than today's contest?

Why?

The Rams have lost 6 straight, have put Stafford, Kupp, and Alan Robinson on IR, are decimated along the offensive line, and Aaron Donald likely will remain out of action with his high ankle sprain.

As presently constructed, the Rams should be the least daunting opponent the Pack faces or has faced all season and that includes today's toothless Bears.

This may sound crazy, but I could see the 5-8 Packers being close to double digit favorites over the Rams.
Yes, the Rams have to be the worst team defending a Super Bowl in a long long time. They look terrible.

Perhaps our new ST coach is finally turning that unit around?

Not really sure if the 1919 or 1920 games count for the Pack. Packers joined the NFL in 1921. Bears joined in 1920.

I already consider it to be turned around. Maybe not to "best-in-league" -level, but hella better than last season. Plus Ford and Nixon who were originally intended to be ST specialists have ended up being cheap positive additions to the D.

It's almost like when the front office and HC takes the STs seriously, it has an effect...

It's crazy that last year's best and most consistent players have flipped to be liabilities this year.

And players who either were a liability, below average for themselves, or not on the team are this year's best players.

Except Rashan Gary. He has been awesome both years.

…and he probably won’t fumble either. (Maybe that’s what you meant too.)

I think Bisaccia is setting a tone by having him run it out every time. I like it!

I know this is not typical here. But I want to give kudos to Fields. I do think he has more potential than any Bears QB in a LONG time. I think he’ll do better than Turd biscuit and many others. If he stays patient and learns how to read defenses well… He’s already showing some real progression and growth.

I’m not saying da Bears would reign in the division. But the QB won’t be their weak spot. He might actually be a strength if he keeps improving. Some say that he already is.

And hey, what, no injuries against da Bears? Probably depends on what happened with Jones. But everybody is pretty dinged up by this time of year anyhow.

DeVonte Wyatt is a player I thought too was excellent yesterday. Noticed him on a few run stops.

Very, very encouraged to hear Elgton Jenkins returning to form. :)
