Traded with Trudge and got my guy. Maybe not a popular pick, but I can sit on him.

I don't get that pick by Philly. What is the plan?

Wentz is always dinged up. Backup QB is huge. Plus trade bait in the future. Hurts is good.

I agree Hurts is good and especially with a year or two learning in the Eagles' system, though I'm not 100% sure what he'll do for fantasy.
But at this point in the draft, I'm not 100% sure what anyone will do for fantasy.
On my end, I am stoked to get Van Jefferson. This is around the right time in the draft for him, so it's not like he's some crazy value pick, but I think with his nuanced route running, a scheme that always plays 3 WRs, and no pressure to be "the guy" he'll be a really steady contributor throughout his entire first contract, at least, until/unless the Rams trade him as they like to do

Yeah, the remaining guys are complete dart throws. 1 of the 10 may hit, but your odds are slim to none. Might as well take guys you like!YoHoChecko wrote: ↑09 Jul 2020 13:38I agree Hurts is good and especially with a year or two learning in the Eagles' system, though I'm not 100% sure what he'll do for fantasy.

Three rounds in and this is what we're looking at so far! How's everyone feeling?

I like the Hurts pick. He was in play for me as well. Was hoping he would fall.
Palmy - "Very few have the ability to truly excel regardless of system. For many the system is the difference between being just a guy or an NFL starter. Fact is, everyone is talented at this level."
I would be feeling a lot better if Cam Akers would have made it one more pick and I had him instead of Aiyuk.

Imagine if you literally had a totally reasonable trade offer for the 15th pick and you declined it, convinced that 23 would pick a WR after taking Taylor, and Akers was your target
Honestly, there's a version of this draft in which I have Jeudy, Ruggs, Akers, Shenault, and maybe still Gibson (at 26) and that hurts my heart.
But I am very excited to have two 1sts and two 2nds next year for some QBs and RBs.
And there are still 7 players I would be very excited to draft on the board with my final 5 picks.

Yeah, and BF is well aware that I made many overtures for the 13th pick, but ended up settling for 17 and 19.
Trading Barkley and getting no immediate high-level starter might haunt me for a while.
Yeah, you are in the middle of full rebuild mode, but this is a good draft for that. Next years draft is not as good, but will be some real solid players. A could freaky good players at the top.YoHoChecko wrote: ↑09 Jul 2020 16:07Yeah, and BF is well aware that I made many overtures for the 13th pick, but ended up settling for 17 and 19.

I'll probably end up picking 4th, missing the great QBs, going for another WR, watching all the top RBs go between pick 4 and MadCity's pick at 10, and wondering where it all went wrong.
But for now I feel good thinking "I've addressed WR; Next year, I'll get a QB and a RB"
One position at a time. And if you ever want players to fill the holes, you know my contact info buddy. Love to move around!

I do feel like there was a noticeable talent drop off around like 16 to 18, but having two picks right there is still a lot of talent.YoHoChecko wrote: ↑09 Jul 2020 16:07Yeah, and BF is well aware that I made many overtures for the 13th pick, but ended up settling for 17 and 19.

Sounds like a brotherly trade is gonna go down!

Nice mnkcarp. I had a feeling carp was gonna grab Gronk here; never one to let a solid vet go undrafted...
I've been so tempted but he just doesn't make sense for a team in rebuild mode. If he lasted to my last 3 picks I was gonna take him just in hopes of trade possibilities.

I should have just kept him on my roster and known he'd unretire...YoHoChecko wrote: ↑09 Jul 2020 21:14Nice @mnkcarp. I had a feeling carp was gonna grab Gronk here; never one to let a solid vet go undrafted...
