Watching the World Series. Go Braves!!

Unreal this game has been going on for over 2 hours and we are in the fourth inning.

Baseball needs a pitch clock. Start the clock as soon as the pitcher gets the ball from the catcher, if the clock hits zero..automatic ball. That would get the games moving.

That, and get the batters to quit stepping out to adjust gloves, jock, arm protector, tobacco wad, foot guard, necklace, and helmet every time they take a pitch. If they didn't swing, keep their asses in the box!

Yeah, you and [mention]wallyuwl[/mention] , I usually love playoff baseball. I grew up loving the Braves and watched them every night. Then, the season just became to long to care about each game and so I only kept up with the standings throughout the year. Now, I try very hard to want to love the MLB playoffs, but even for me (who is trying), it is just too hard to stay engaged. Over 4 hours is rediculous!

Just watched Game of Thrones. I assume I'll get alot of hate. Amazing, and not as many dicks as anticipated.

Hate for watching, hate for only just watching now, or hate for enjoying it? Dicks as in "not nice people" or.... you know?

Glad you liked it. Too often with Epic-y type stuff or things based on books, people forget to just sit back and enjoy what's on the screen. It's a damn fun show to watch. Perfect, no way. But I'm biased as I become king in the end!

First time watch of any great show is pretty special. Many times loses something is subsequent watches.

I'm into fantasy alot. Lord of the Rings, Elder Scrolls, heck even EverQuest in 01. Can't believe it took me this long.

3 hours of Curse of Oak Island starts in 10 minutes!

Movie inspired me to buy the first digital book in the series. Started it many years ago but never finished. Got a quarter way through first book already and have no idea why I ever stopped reading it. The book backdrop gonna add so much to the movie scenes, can’t wait to rewatch once I catch up.

So is this setting up for a movie trilogy or is it standalone? Trailer looks good.

Anyone ever read the Dune books? Heard they are really good. Made it like 3 chapters into what I believe was the first book a while back and I had no idea what was going on. Could use a little more motivation to stick with it.

If you are enjoying it, awesome… but I quit watching. The first 3 episodes were sooooooo bad. I understand it’s a ridiculously long book series, but the character changes (not just the miscast actors but their character’s personality differences) are just awful.

I was expecting canon to be changed but this isn’t even close to the same story.

Definitely some weird character changes that don't make a lot of sense. Mat's are the most egregious, but it doesn't seem like they will stick with him and I hear he is being recast in season 2. Otherwise, I can live with the rest even though Perrin's don't make any sort of sense, but I can see where they are going with it.

I am giving it some time before making a final judgement.
