From Lambeau to Lombardi, Holmgren, McCarthy and LaFleur and from Starr to Favre, Rodgers and now Jordan Love we’re talking Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers football. This Packers Forum is the place to talk NFL football and everything Packers. So, pull up a keyboard, make yourself at home and let’s talk some Packers football.
Can't take away anything from the other playoff teams. They all deserve it. But this Packer squad actually looks like it is still IMPROVING every week. Gonna have lots of confidence next week in the playoffs.
It's wild how often this season we've looked like the clearly more-talented team, but were making too many mistakes or not putting it together and it cost us wins.
The mistakes and the roller coaster of development come from being the youngest team in the league.
But being the youngest team and looking clearly more talented than most of the teams we played? That has been a delight. The future is bright if these guys develop, grow, and become more disciplined and situationally aware. A great test and task for MLF's off-season self-scouting.
But before we start that, let's spoil some seasons or heck, win 4 straight

Young team pretty much why tonight wasn't 31-9. It was just a dominate performance.
Palmy - "Very few have the ability to truly excel regardless of system. For many the system is the difference between being just a guy or an NFL starter. Fact is, everyone is talented at this level."
You have to go down to our TENTH leading receiver among WRs and TEs before you find a guy with more than 2 seasons under their belt (including the season that just finished). That's Josiah Deguara
Season Packers sack leaders. Nice spread out assortment. Can't wait to see the young guys here grow together, too, honestly
Rashan Gary - 9
Preston Smith - 8
Kenny Clark - 7.5
Devonte Wyatt - 5.5
Karl Brooks - 4
Lukas Van Ness - 4
Quay Walker - 2.5
Kingsley Enagbare - 2
If you told me after week 3 that Gary would be healthy all year and he'd end up with 9 sacks...I wouldn't believe ou.
But I love this group. Such a deep group. And honestly I'm talking to Preston and seeing what it takes to make him a Packer again in 2024. I would imagine both parties want to keep making it happen.

I would rather lose Preston and Barry than keep Preston and Barry. I mean that. I know we need him right now, but we have a whole offseason to add to the room and Enagbare and LVN are still coming up.

right, Gary got the majority of his sacks the by week 3, then just 3 more the rest of the season.
If Barry continues with Man coverage and max pass rush then I doubt we get rid of him.

Barry did his job the last 2 weeks. If he were to have learned his lesson about what works and what does not, fine, keep him.
But can he be trusted to not go back to a 2-5 or a soft zone that makes nobody RB's and nobody QB's have career best games? Frankly I don't trust him enough to keep him, even if he has dyed all the spots in his leopard fur dark brown.

right, not sure I can trust him either, imo I think Lafleur has had a face to face talk with Joe possibly with Gute and Murphy in closed door session, explaining his career path should he continue with his abysmal schemes
