Xavier Rhodes I wouldn't mind at this point
I'd still like Richard Sherman too.
LIS earlier, I'd prefer brains and experience vs athleticism and upside for CB2 this year.
Malcom Butler another guy I got my eye one.
All 3 perfect stop gaps that A) doesn't stop us from taking a CB in the 1st round if we like on on the board, any of them could also allow us not to draft a CB at all if they conversely don't like the board.
Yes those three, but also guys like Hayward (obviously) and then like a Robey-Coleman, who has fallen off but whose last success came in the Rams' scheme; and Quentin Dunbar who is still young and was VERY good in 2019 and is hitting free agency off of a down 2020. And AJ Bouye who was a top CB just a couple years so and has injury and suspension issues driving down his price but maybe a buy-low gamble piece. Kawaun Williams or Mackenzie Alexander for slot-only options.
Lots of different styles and option to fit into a puzzle piece of completing the defense here. We could even look again at a Breeland or bringing King back if we want someone who is occasionally very good but terribly inconsistent

As a reference point:
Here is what they have on Kevin King for remaining top 100 Free Agents.
79. CB KEVIN KING
King has disappointed during his four years in Green Bay — the former second-rounder's highest-graded season was a 62.7 mark in 2019. He blew up the NFL scouting combine, running a 4.43 40 and posting 98th-percentile agility drills at 6-foot-3, but that agility has not shown up on the field, as King is often knocked off balance by good route runners. King has struggled mightily in zone coverage, ranking dead last in coverage grade since entering the league, and he’s been one of the worst tacklers in the league over the last two years. King has the size and athleticism to be effective on the vertical route tree, but he’s a reclamation project who likely needs a specific, limited role on his new team.
Contract Analysis: King’s elite measurables and draft status (33rd overall pick in 2017) will certainly work in his favor this offseason, and that could be the best way for King and his representation to pitch him as an option to interested teams. He has yet to put everything together in the NFL, but a change of scenery could go a long way.
Prediction: One year, $3.5 million. $1.5 million fully guaranteed at signing.
Yeah it's
ALMOST like Kevin King is not very good at CB.

I hope we extend Rodgers and Adams, regain about 20 mil. in cap space and grab Fuller and a DT, and also use our first on a CB, if Barry wants to use that 5-1-5 formation we'll need both to make that work, and high pick CB's start for teams every year.

Don't even worry about it. The satisfaction of validation is reward enough for me

Atkins/Hicks and Hayward/Fuller. I'll take all 4. But a combination of them and I'd be a happy man.

Why are people dreaming that the Bears will trade Hicks to the Packers?

They're not. They're dreaming he will be released and we will sign him for nothing.

I would love Hicks.
1 year 10.5 million contract for this year remaining, prolly hard to take on. Could possibly extend him. I don't think they'll release him though.
Be really funny to have Amos, Fuller and Hicks though.

Before we drafted Love, kind of my hope was Trubisky sucked in 2020 and the Bears let him walk only to have us sign him...set behind Rodgers for a few years and then take over and be awesome.
Pretty much everything happened as I hoped except we drafted Love.

Definitely not. A bet is a bet. I think I will make one up or have salmar80 do it since he is good at it.

woops, put that in the wrong thread. Meant it for the free agency one. But weird move by him. Reported that he turned down $9.5M + $3.M in incentives from the Ravens. Steelers aren't going to help you get another deal dude.
Yeah, that is mildly confusing for sure.
However.... the Ravens' WRs to a man hate it there. Brown, Bryant, and Snead have all made direct or implied complaints this offseason. So that's not surprising. Declining the Chiefs is surprising, though.

I was just looking through PFF's best remaining free agents and there are a LOT of CBs with some good potential value on that list, allowing for the teams to sort of pick and choose based on scheme fit and whatnot. Like a lot of them. Maybe ten of the top 50 remaining free agents (I could actually count them but I'm not feeling like it)
CB and
DT are both shaping up to be post-FA-buying-frenzy shopping opportunities. Lot of quality names out there with some age/injury questions that may be bargains on short-term deals. Those ample available positions fit directly to Packer needs, as well.

Over under $10 million a year for King. He might get $10 if he is lucky.

Seems like he just didn't want to leave Pennsylvania yet. Apparently his team reached out to the Eagles to see if they were interested, but weren't. Seems to really like it there. I can admire a player doing that. Plus he's the #1 in Pitt. Wouldn't be that in KC. Betting on himself.
