From Lambeau to Lombardi, Holmgren, McCarthy and LaFleur and from Starr to Favre, Rodgers and now Jordan Love we’re talking Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers football. This Packers Forum is the place to talk NFL football and everything Packers. So, pull up a keyboard, make yourself at home and let’s talk some Packers football.
What could this trade be? I'm looking at our picks and their values and the only thing I can think is we gave up a 3rd and got their compensatory 4th back.

I have to think that Guty was locked on to him, that if he was going to be available near our pick that they’d go all in for him. Why else bother?
That said, I didn’t want this guy in the first because I wanted Queen or Mims. But he is a guy who can be a very good player and even possibly elite. Why not get him here? The backside is that we used a 1st round pick for potential instead of a guy that’s ready now. That smacks of Ted.
Come on down and try some of our delicious green chili! Best in the world!

I agree. Gute will probably seal his reputation with this pick.

Haha wow this is what my friend who knows everything about football said we should do like 6 months ago... but he has since changed his mind
Convenient that was never said until now.
Pretty sure I probably mentioned it a while ago on the old forum. Either way, he has been off the Jordan Love train for a couple months now.
But lol pckfn23 why would I make this up at this point. Who gives a &%$@ man
Apparently you do!

Rodgers only has two more years of signing bonus proration left on his contract after this year at $11.5 million a piece. They can get rid of him in two years and be in good shape from a cap standpoint.
I usually try to strive to understand all things the Packers do...
But with this one, I had to check if I had CeeDee Lamb's girl by my side, since that would make more sense than this move and pick.
Looking at AR's contract, this puts him and Love on a 2-year clock. In 2022, we'll see if we go from Favre to Rodgers to another great QB. Of if Gutey just made an epic blunder.

It just screams future without Rodgers. We're this close constantly, with a fresh staff... Probably the closest we've been from a roster standpoint.
It's a terrible pick. Worse that we traded up for him.
At the earliest, we can cut Rodgers in 2022. More likely 2023. That means by the time Love starts to play, we have to give him a new contract or have an expensive 5th year.
This is Gutekunst's guy. This is his reputation pick.
