No clue why they didn't hurry up for another play or use the timeout right away, but I guess we're just going to FG

The 2nd down play to Musgrave was a great play call. They just didn’t make it happen.
The third down to Reed was also good.
But that sack play sucked. And so did the nonplay that needed a TO.

Points to end the half. Ball coming back after the break.
Let's double dip!

LaCoach's play calling is nothing special so far.

Honestly...
Great defensive performance for the exception of tacking Fields.
MLF gets a poor grade for play calling.
Jordan Love had a poor half outside of 3 3rd downs.
AJ Dillon was terrible.

I think after the sack, MLF was going FG all the way and they just didn't communicate it well enough. They let it run down; Love seemed to be thinking run it down for one last play, but MLF ran it down for a TO to kick.
The sack was the problem; the communication, too

This first half - wow. We saw the talent and we saw the youth. Altogether. Happy that we have a lead at half. We need to lean on the D this year, at least in the first month. That much is obvious.

That was an ugly sequence at the end of the half but the end result was still likely the same.
