Honestly worst grade of the half imo goes to Lafleur

I am wondering if Watson’s absence has MLF feeling like he needs more 2 RB looks than usual. Even so, I hope he goes with LESS of that. Let the kids play!
Come on down and try some of our delicious green chili! Best in the world!

So for the 1st half, Fields attempted what, like 4 passes past the LOS?

Inexperience showed itself a bit there, but overall it’s a win. Got some points, great kick.
Once these guys get more time together they’re going to start busing big plays. Can’t skip the growth phase though.

A TE that can threaten THAT... Ooh, yeah! Didn't happen this time, but that was finally Finley -like GB TE threatening the deep area.
A kicker with a leg and passing the pressure test, me likey!
D creating a crapton of pressure. Fields barely thinking about throwing.

A lot of what I expected, defense gonna have to be on their A- game all year.
Packers Offense with these WR won’t scare any DC.
Don’t turn the ball over, move the chains!

These are some of the offensive growing pains we knew we would see. MLF isn’t helping matters with the cutesy play calls and communication failures.
Overall, though, not complaining.
We’re up, we get the ball coming back out and there’s nothing egregious as far as execution. Calm the troops, get a score coming out and put the pressure on Fields.

My first half thoughts:
Jordan Love: good reads, subpar-but-acceptable ball placement; timing with his receivers seems a little off
Inexperienced receiving group: inexperience is showing
MLF's play-calling: addressed a bit above. But I only have run game issues. The pass plays are creating open guys and mixing up play action, quick, and timing routes
OL: crushing it aside from a couple notable miscues on good plays by the defenders (TJ Edwards and Yannick Ngakwe)
Run D: killing it aside from two plays
Pass D: a few too many holes when Fields has any time, and obvi the tackling on Fields has been rough, but intense pressure and excellent breaking down for hits from the secondary on short passes (Jaire, Savage, and Nixon have all done it, at least)
Rookie K: 2 for 2
Overall, we're up 10-6 against a rival and getting the ball back. Love is still going to be a bit of a question mark for a while. Fields looks pretty good, actually, when he has any time. We just don't don't give him much

Man I just don't get how that ball was missed to Musgrave though. I mean that's as wide open as it gets. Just float it man.

If the D keeps that going, we will be in every game.salmar80 wrote: ↑10 Sep 2023 16:55A TE that can threaten THAT... Ooh, yeah! Didn't happen this time, but that was finally Finley -like GB TE threatening the deep area.

Love put it long. Musgrave bent out. Miscue. A rookie TE and a first-year starter at QB. It sucks, sure, but don't get it? I think we all get it.
Agreed, work in progress, as usual. As far as play calling, Jlove Definitely switched multiple plays at the Los.APB wrote: ↑10 Sep 2023 16:59These are some of the offensive growing pains we knew we would see. MLF isn’t helping matters with the cutesy play calls and communication failures.

Plus, we are on their field. I’ll give credit for that too. It isn’t easy playing in somebody else’s house.YoHoChecko wrote: ↑10 Sep 2023 17:00My first half thoughts:

Ya the te looked back and slowed and was stopping/turning made the pass look way worse then it should have.YoHoChecko wrote: ↑10 Sep 2023 17:02Love put it long. Musgrave bent out. Miscue. A rookie TE and a first-year starter at QB. It sucks, sure, but don't get it? I think we all get it.

Yes, he did. It's just my weird observation. The Bears fans on Reddit are not liking their O so farYoHoChecko wrote: ↑10 Sep 2023 17:01But he completed them all?Crazylegs Starks wrote: ↑10 Sep 2023 16:54So for the 1st half, Fields attempted what, like 4 passes past the LOS?
