I don't know how his political statement took any joy out of the game. Like after he kneeled down, was the actual football game worse because he knelt during the anthem?

Please do not forget the game in 1997 at Lambeau Field. When all 4 played --> Emmitt, Troy, Sanders and Woodson. Pack finally won handily 45-17. When the game ended Lambeau Field sang 'Momma Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys'. It was quite the festive party outside of Lambeau Field after the game. A very fond memory for sure.YoHoChecko wrote: ↑19 May 2022 09:13To clarify, if I recall correctly, the Cowboys ended the Packers' seasons in 1993, 1994, and 1995. When they finally won it all in 1996, the Panthers had taken out the Cowboys for us. I believe over that 4-year stretch, the Packers were something like 1-5 against the Cowboys, while otherwise being quite successful.
THEN he became a broadcaster I loathe.

I was the Kap playoff game at the end of the 2013 season. Packers D could not stop Kap. And it was extremely single digit cold if I remember correctly.
I was there too. Tickets were available at face value through the box office because of the cold. Figured it was the only time I'd ever see a Packer playoff game at Lambeau without having to take out a 2nd mortgage. Froze my cornholio off just to see Kaep run all over our defense.RingoCStarrQB wrote: ↑19 May 2022 18:28I was the Kap playoff game at the end of the 2013 season. Packers D could not stop Kap. 3,4, and 5 were all played at Dallas along with every regular season game during that stretch. Might have got home field if we'd been on the scheduling committee.RingoCStarrQB wrote: ↑19 May 2022 18:15Please do not forget the game in 1997 at Lambeau Field. I don't know how the scheduling worked pre-2002 but the scheduling is a system since they went to 32 teams. I love the system.
The one downside though is you do have insane stretches of either hosting or playing at certain opponents you are similar records too.
It was the Cowboys in the the 90's, the 49ers in the late 90's/early 2000's, the Eagles in the early 2000's, Seattle in the early 2010's and SF in the late 2010's/early 2020's.
The playoffs then compound that.

Not a ton of games, but just remembered Donovan McNabb always had our number.

What is crazy about this is a lot of guys on FF say Aikman is biased against THEIR team too!Drj820 wrote: ↑19 May 2022 09:22Aikman is my least favorite broadcaster. People love to give Collinsworth hell and others. But for me, nobody hides their bias less than little troy. There can be a favorable call for the Packers in the 2nd qtr and he will still be talking about it in the 4th qtr. I am happy he is moving to monday night where we will only see him once now.YoHoChecko wrote: ↑19 May 2022 09:13To clarify, if I recall correctly, the Cowboys ended the Packers' seasons in 1993, 1994, and 1995. For some reason I never felt hatred towards Tillman. The rest of those clowns?Crazylegs Starks wrote: ↑19 May 2022 12:57"Only Bears" list:
Jim McMahon - Obviously
'Peanut' Tillman - Never saw a guy force so many fumbles/drops
Devin Hester - Of course
Rex Grossman - Sexy Rexy? More like...um...uh...Wrecks Grossman! Yeah, take that!
Jay Cutler - So hateable, but so fun to watch throw interceptions
Mike Ditka - Daaah Worst!
I remember back in the 80s we saw McMahon out at a restaurant the night before a game in GB drinking a bunch of beers with several teammates. We thought for sure they would be hung over but the freaking bares beat us handily anyway.williewasgreat wrote: ↑19 May 2022 14:59Actually, the problem McMahon had at BYU was he liked to drink alcohol a whole lot. BYU honor code doesn't allow this, pre-marital sex or using caffeine.Yoop wrote: ↑19 May 2022 09:31Packer fans seem to hate McMahon, possibly because he wore a Bears Jersey to the White House in 97, thing is his 85 Bears team couldn't go, so he wore it in there honor.
McMahon barely made it through BYU for spouting Christian theology in that basically Mormon school, if not for being a gifted football player He probably would have been.
then of course the super bowl shuffle, I have to admit I was jealous of that 85 Bears team, easily one of the best in there storied history.
25 years? I think not.go pak go wrote: ↑19 May 2022 15:54Yeah. I mean, there cannot be many franchises in sports who were "supposed" to have won it all but didn't as many times as we have in the past ~30 years. Frankly this past year was kind of the final straw for me. Of course I'm still a fan (always will be) but gotta be honest, am wearing a bag over my head these days. You can blame the refs, the 49ers, Marshawn Lynch, Eli, etc. until the cows come home, but at the end of the day the one common denominator is us.
But if we're being honest, we are choke artists when we get near the Bowl the last 25 years.
I strongly suspect because MN had Culpepper they passed on Rodgers twice in that draft in 2005.Acrobat wrote: ↑19 May 2022 16:49Crazylegs Starks wrote: ↑19 May 2022 12:43My "Only Vikings" list:
Daunte Culpepper - I hated that guy. His "rolling" celebration was so stupid.
The irony that his career was never the same after someone rolled on his knee.

All seasons and playoff games we should have won but didn't. And a lot of them were due to catastrophic blunders.
I would say that amount of times qualifies my post.
We should batter Lady Fortuna with all we got, with all that misfortune
I misunderstood your post. I was thinking about the SB we won within the past 25 years.
Yeah 1 SB win in 25 years is not far off from being "expected" when you consider we are 1 of 31 and then 1 of 32 teams in that time period.Pugger wrote: ↑20 May 2022 12:43I misunderstood your post. I was thinking about the SB we won within the past 25 years.
