Is Golladay just a salary cap casualty or is something else going on? I don’t suppose the Packers have any interest. But then, Guty wants “to be in every conversation.” Hahahaha

He was so good and then he was so awful.

Think he’s a lost cause. One bad year can be explained. But 3 or however long it was?

Something’s gotta be missing at this point.

Yeah, I thought very highly of him when he played in Detroit, but his time with the Giants has been a train wreck.

I always thought Golladay was more "above average", and then a couple of injuries sapped him of what explosiveness he did have and when you're a 1-trick pony and that trick dries up...

I mean he was just a downfield, low-percentage guy who had size and contested catch ability and a great feel for stacking and body positioning to get himself in a good place for those catches. But he never did much intermediate or YAC ability or really anything. To me he was closer to a James Jones than to anything else, and I loved having James Jones on the team, but he was our #2/#3 and made a lot of plays because he earned Rodgers' trust in contested situations rather than because he got open.

Golladay put up more production for two years because they force fed him the ball downfield with a lack of better options. But he was catching 58% of his passes in his 1,000-yard seasons as their #1. That's not good offense.

DeAndre Hopkins expects to be traded, reportedly a 2nd is the asking price.

He has about 19.5 in salary this year and 15M next year.

FA market is vary baron at WR, but not sure I want to give up draft capital and pay him that. Even if we can renegotiate and bring him down to like 30M over 2 years, I hope we stay out of it. I'd rather have Lazard back at 11 per + a 2nd round pick than Hopkins at 15 per, let alone 17.5 per.

Went down a rabbit hole. Only teams not to throw for 300+ yards in a game in 2022:
Chicago Bears
Atlanta Falcons
Green Bay Packers

Peter King says teams are interested in Lamar Jackson but his decision not to have an agent is leaving teams with no one to talk to or reach out to; says a team interviewed him (Peter King, a reporter) about what Jackson is really like as a person off the field and around the team, which is a highly unconventional fact-finding process.

Mike McDaniel is so weird. I'm so shocked he can command a room of athletes and egos.

It's surprising to me too. Anything specific in the news that brought this comment on?

He was just in the booth with the commentators on the combine doing an interview. It was bizarre, as always.

I don't think a trade for Robinson makes a lot of sense for a team like us in a soft rebuild, unless Rodgers really does come back.

But even if we move on from 12.... man, it's still tempting. Robinson is a stud.

Is his explosiveness sapped? I’m trying to learn from my vigorous defense of former Rams WRs who haven’t produced in two years

Not sure we could rely on him a whole lot more than we did on Sammy Watkins. He’s surely better right now than he was last year, but the availability issue is real.

I’d be moderately aggressive for him if he’s ultimately released.

He was my 2015 Justin Jefferson.

I just didn't remind everybody about it on every thread.

Best case scenario for Packers.

Now raiders trade for Jones and give Patriots a lot of draft capital

Saints are still $21 million over the cap, this will be interesting.
