It's all good! Keep at it. I probably won't get to watch things as closely today as I'd like. 1 last one from me.

If we can't keep Melton on the practice squad (not overly worried about that) then using a spot on Chrest would make sense.

Jimmy was my throw in on my 53 I thought my make it when others didn't. Had a good camp it sounded like. Could make PS if he doesn't get a shot elsewhere.

He's a vested vet and not subject to waivers. Most believe there's an agreement he'll resign Wednesday and that this is so they can keep Tenuta on the roster to IR him.Madcity_matt wrote: ↑29 Aug 2023 09:19Anyone know the scoop on Orzech? Is his current contract unwieldy? Seems like a risk to expose him to waivers.

I had such high hopes for Jean-Charles. He had 1 game with some good moments this preseason. But otherwise looked like crap.

Cutting Orzech is a smart move. Best player to *wink* cut and then resign after IR'ing Tenuta.

just spiffing, didn't take into consideration he hadn't played yet in PS games, or that we'd owe so much dead money, my badpaco wrote: ↑28 Aug 2023 11:40Trade Clark?!? I know there's a focus on youth right now, but that's crazy talk. Plus he's only 27. It was strange, but I think MLF wanted to stretch out a few guys and get them some reps before the season starts. Clark hadn't played at all yet. A little change in mindset in the new post-12 era.Yoop wrote: ↑28 Aug 2023 11:38when ya see established vets playing late in PS games it's usually not a good sign for that vet, it means the coaches are giving him a last chance for the vet to change the GM's mind, obviously O Donnell didn't, Newman is probably next.
also why where we playing Clark till half time, could there be a trade. I didn't see any reason for him playing.
you are forgiven. Just don't let it happen again.Yoop wrote: ↑29 Aug 2023 09:48just spiffing, didn't take into consideration he hadn't played yet in PS games, or that we'd owe so much dead money, my badpaco wrote: ↑28 Aug 2023 11:40Trade Clark?!? Sad to see Thump Gaines cut. Hope to see him back on PS.
The Packers lunatic fringe is more visible because of sheer numbers. The Packers have one of the largest fan bases in all of sports. If the fringe percentage is the same as with other teams, then we end up with larger volumes of nut jobs. - JustJeff

I'd be fine with it. But this was year 3 for him. He hasn't shown enough improvement to think he's ever really going to get that much better. Does suck getting cut on your birthday. Happy B-day Innes!
