Relevant for this.

I’m always for adding another top end WR talent.

Now if we are in play for Maye or Williams, gotta mean we didn’t get any better and that has to be the obvious. But I’m quite open after that. Just get whoever’s gunna be the best football player.

If Love continues to shy from pressure and the tech doesn't improve, then we should take the best QB available anyway, with plans though to groom for a season, if Love snaps out of this stuff and improves then fine, there no such thing as having to many good QB's, there is always a market for one, whatever we will have both to chose from and one should pan out, can't win in this league without quality QB play.

And that very well might be the route. My thinking is... If we are in fact in the QB market it needs to be one of the 2 big boys and I prefer Maye. If it takes moving up to 2 then that's the play. If Love somehow shows promise the next 2 months then we can go accordingly.

I just dont see the path getting the 2nd pick. If the Bears control 1 or 2 or both theyre taking a QB. If they have both they wont trade a pick here just to keep us with Love. If the Cardinals get the pick I think they just Rodgers this thing and move on from Murray despite the cap hit. The Pats are definitely done with Mac. The Giants are going to move on from there coach GM combo and get a new QB. The Broncos and Raiders are going to be looking for QBs of the future.

Its very important we tank but I dont think we will need to lose intentionally. This coach/roster combination will do that on its own.

there's a chance we wont be in this position to trade up to get a blue chipper again for years, best do this when we can, specially if we don't have years to coach one up, so if we like one of the two I think it's a investment we have to take.
I know I'am not interested in a long turn around, or going years and years trying out QB's.

whats the diff? dumping or sitting players to assure a likely loss is still tanking, sports media would make sure even the not so up on stuff fans would know it, do you want that type moniker connected to this team? I don't.
specially with 11 games yet to play :thwap:

I think our issue now is more lack of interior OL, or we’d already have Jenkins at LT.

Jenkins and Tom both have looked good at LT before. I think either would have better odds of turning into a solid long term starter over any draft pick. Just knowing what they’ve shown and odds of the draft.
Jenkins played very well at left tackle before his ACL injury but struggled while starting five games at right tackle last season. At this point I wouldn't feel comfortable about moving him to left tackle.

The Packers might end up with one of the top two overall picks anyway if they continue to play like over the past few games.
