ya, if these young boys lose and lose, they truly may never learn how to win. Better this group experiences winning and learns how to close the deal for later down the road.

This game would be a lot easier if the goal was to play for draft picks, but it's not. Thankfully.

It's not even learning how to win. It's a simple fact of seeing more holes on your roster if you keep losing - because you are losing for a reason.

It is much better to reduce your "needs" list by having players step up in the season rather than going into the draft with a need at literally every spot. Take Center for example. If Meyers keeps building on yesterday for the rest of the year, suddenly we may not see Center as much of a need any longer.

Yesterday was awesome because we say players step up who need to step up.

Musgrave, Valentine, Meyers, Rhyan.

Doubs didn't drop one. Wicks is catching multiple balls. Reed redeemed himself. Watson got a 50/50 ball. Wooden and Brooks were monsters. Van Ness got in the backfield.

Yesterday was awesome for those reasons.

I know not everyone here is a Bukowski fan. But he's been going back and forth with rcon14 for a bit this morning. Are we sure rcon isn't a member here? Sounds like a lot of you negative-nellies.

I thought the run blocking took a step forward yesterday.

Farthest the Rams got into GB territory was the 28.

I’d agree the pass to Heath was a drop. Not perfect but a wholly catchable ball.

Not gonna lie. The stats seem to be a lot better than the eye test in this game. I didn't think he particularly had a good game.

But I guess it's better to think that and see stats like this rather than the other way around.
the deep ball accuracy has to improve, same with ball placement on the short ones, he makes catches harder then necessary, often near calf height, this game was obviously better, and a confidence builder, and that should help, to me he's at his best with the intermediate passes.
I'm not saying this as a negative about Rodgers but had he been the one throwing that pass to Heath, the announcers would have been waxing poetic over how he intentionally put the ball in a place only he could catch it while allowing the receiver to protect himself while making the catch. Same thing happens with Mahomes and especially Allen. They can do no wrong, the receiver didn't make the proper adjustment. Blah, blah, blah...

I don't disagree with the points you made, he needs to improve in several areas, but the harping both here and in media on lack of precise ball placement when it's a pass 20-30 yards downfield is petty. Love is, for the most part, placing the ball well within the catch radius. Receivers get paid, too.

Has anybody come across a collection of clips from when Sean Rhyan came in the game? Would like to take a closer look at those plays.

Not clips. But I did rewatch his series last night. Overall he was primarily in run blocking. I would say he earned a passing grade. Especially considering he went against Donald.

Didn't dominate. But certainly didn't lose. It was only one series but I thought it was something to be positive about.

Speak of the devil...

Edit: wait, isn't Rhyan #75? Is that Runyan at RG? Or is his jersey just creased to make it look like #76?

If I go full-screen it looks like Rhyan

It is tough but full screen does show it is 75. The skin is a bit darker too.

All of Rhyan’s snaps. Dude can run block decent. I think I counted one pass set and he was successful.
