McNeil is so good, but do whatever you can to run at Z all day.

That right side is weak AF too. Run it, run it, run it!

For sure. MLF wants to run anyhow. And the strength of the Lions' D is on the back end anyhow. We don't need to play into their hands. Let's also mix in some screens to Kraft and our RB1 and let them hammer those Safeties a few times.

Strangely confident for this game.

Lions really banged up on the front 7, our OL and running game and offence have been gelling. Our D was fine last time against their O. If they can do the same, our O should be able to outscore them.

If we play good, clean, football. Have a hard time imagining us not winning. But that is the world's most gigantic if. I think we are better than them on paper tomorrow. Not sure that would hold true in January. So just play fast, hard, physical, clean ball, I like our odds.

But the penalties and drops and turnover and missed tackles and blown coverage and &%$@ special teams show up, yeah. Be the same result as last time.

A Packers win would surely help my Vikings out, which is why I don't have much confidence in it happening. :idn:

The late-season momentum is building and you've experienced it enough as a Packer fan to know it when you see it. :)

I believe a big part of Holmgrens' HOF candidacy - is that he really knew how to get his teams to peak at the right time

The Packers offense has come together after stumbling around with Love's injury
The Packers defense has come together after 2/3 of a season learning new techniques, new calls, new scheme.
Even Rich's crew is making plays instead of blunders. I like our chances

speaking of momentum...

Check out the line movements on this game.
On 11/29 you could have gotten GB + 5.5 and its been steadily dropping to +3 right now. That's a big swing

Taylor Decker being out has affected their offensive production IMO. Our front 4 has to get pressure on their own. I think they can do it. The Lions really haven't played any decent teams since their win at Houston. For them, this game has all the makings of a wake up call. Sort of like how we always seem to beat up on the bad teams and get bullied around by the good ones. But I think the shoe will be on the other foot tonight.

So the first game we missed Jaire, Evan, and Myers which weakened numerous positions. I know they played Bullard at Safety that game but who played nickel? Did Valentine & Stokes play outside and Nixon move to nickel or did they keep Nixon outside and play Ballentine at Nickel? I can't remember. Either way, we are in much better shape this game even without Jaire again.

Hard not to be more confident this week just for these reasons alone.

Aside from missing their LT, the Lions' injury problems are on the D. If their sub LT plays well enough, they can still score points. So we need to prepare to get into a shootout. But that is almost what we want. Our guys are still improving (e.g. WRs are starting to not drop balls, penalties decreasing, etc.). I really like the odds of us scoring 30+ unless MLF just wants total control of the clock.

This has the makings of a classic Nordic division matchup.

Maybe we even get a "bonus" like Quay making more disruptive plays, Watson nabbing a couple of deep hauls, and a ST explosive play in our favor. I'm excited.

Here's a more comprehensive list of the injuries in Detroit. The players listed in red are on the active roster, but injured.
if you scroll down to the "reserves" section, it shows the guys on IR.

For some context, here is the Packers depth chart and IR list from January of 2011, just as the Packers began their SB run as a 6th seed with a totally banged up squad. IT. IS. TIME...to tell the whining Lions fans to STFU already :nono:
