I was in LA when Jaire Alexander absolutely owned the field. He had a great rookie year and definitely has 4 great seasons under him.Half Empty wrote: ↑19 Jan 2025 13:43I'll give you '19, '20 and '22 for three. As far as the 'more than' part of the question, it's hard to see quality production from a total of 18 games in '21, '23 and '24. So, I guess it depends how one defines 'quality production' for his rookie year - some good tackle stats but one INT and the lowest PD numbers of any healthy season (plus playing in 13 games and starting 11).go pak go wrote: ↑19 Jan 2025 11:40Jaire Alexander.Yoop wrote: ↑19 Jan 2025 11:12
to funny, Rodgers wasn't the one who brought Lazard, Kumerow or even Cobb to the GB Packers, and he was never the choke artist we saw from Love who basically single handily lost us 3 games this season, our GM's wasted some of Rodgers best years with there neanderthal drafts.
just name a first round pick from Gutekunst that had more than 3 years of quality production?

But man. If it has to be defined as 4+ seasons, we are asking for players who gave 4 great seasons selected in the first round by a guy who has been GM for 7 years.
That's a very, very specific threshold with a very small population.

So yes I do honestly believe that, and unlike you I have specific examples of him doing this, whereas you just have supposition in the form of "no no, bro, trust me bro, if we'd have given him McLaurin he'd have used him, trust me bro!!" No. We tested the hypothesis. We gave him Adams and Garrett Wilson together, then once he got Adams and no longer HAD to use Wilson heavily, he shafted him in favor of his scrub buddies like Lazard.musclestang wrote: ↑19 Jan 2025 10:13Do you honestly believe that? I don't see the problem. The threshold was 4, not 4+. Three full years as a given, three years not available to qualify and "I guess it depends how one defines 'quality production' for his rookie year" for the seventh - you choose to call that a great rookie year, in which case you've got your fourth year.go pak go wrote: ↑19 Jan 2025 14:19I was in LA when Jaire Alexander absolutely owned the field. Get the actual criticism straight, you're throwing around factoids that don't address the points I made whatsoever.musclestang wrote: ↑19 Jan 2025 14:59BaloneyLabrev wrote: ↑19 Jan 2025 11:09He shafted Garrett Wilson this year as the season came to a close in favor of Allen Lazard and called to 'cUt RePs" of the talented young guys that were struggling here in GB when the alternative was Sammy $%@# Watkins. I showed the real story in another thread, garret wilson has the 4th most targeted receiver up until the last 2-4 weeks of the season. Blew everyone away in the team in terms of targets, not even close.
And boo freaking hoo that Adams got more at the end. He’s one of the best in the game lol. No, please don’t throw it to that guy lol
Baloney. Already showed you in another thread, snaps and targets aren’t even close. Wilson blew them all away.Labrev wrote: ↑19 Jan 2025 16:09Get the actual criticism straight, you're throwing around factoids that don't address the points I made whatsoever.musclestang wrote: ↑19 Jan 2025 14:59BaloneyLabrev wrote: ↑19 Jan 2025 11:09

I said that before the Adams trade, he used Wilson a lot more because he HAD to, he had no real choice but to play with him, not unlike how he didn't throw to Watson much until the Cowboys game when we pretty much didn't have anyone left and he had no choice but to try to throw to him. But once he got Adams back, Wilson took a significant step back.
And it's not boohoo Adams got more targets than Wilson, it's that he was SCRUBS like Lazard were getting snaps over him. Reporters literally asked Wilson why he wasn't on the field in critical offensive drives and he simply responded with a vague statement that someone felt he needed to be less involved in the O. There have also been multiple reports that Wilson said he wants out if Rodgers returns, so... do the math on that one.
So this idea that "oOoO imagine if we had Adams *and* McLaurin!!" has been tested. He went to the team he said would be better for him, was given Adams again and a WR as good as (arguably better than) McLaurin. He still force-fed Adams, and played favorites that privileged scrubs ahead of more talented options (the latter happened often in Green Bay as well).
The only examples to the contrary are from 2014 or earlier. The reason those don't work now is because back then, Rodgers could run around and buy time to find other open receivers. He doesn't have that ability any longer, so he doesn't spread the ball around effectively anymore. Now it's WR1 or Sack (and "F, now I'm injured!"). But I'm sure there's an excuse for why Adams and Wilson (and Conklin, and Breece Hall) isn't enough help. Conveniently, there is always an excuse for him.

That was rough, had a real shot and let Carter rush right up the middle squashing their chanceswallyuwl wrote: ↑19 Jan 2025 17:11After those final 2 plays the Rams might pay big bucks for Myerswilliewasgreat wrote: ↑19 Jan 2025 17:00This game isn’t over.
