2025 Free Agency

DT Javan Kinlaw to the Commanders.
I have a sense the next Packers center is already on the roster and has been playing RT.
Chris Godwin re-signed with the Bucs. 3 years, $66m. Yikes. And that's after he allegedly turned down a higher offer choosing instead to remain in Tampa.
Buccaneers re-signed WR Chris Godwin to a three-year, $66 million contract.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Godwin left roughly $20 million on the table to sign elsewhere to return to the Bucs. The veteran receiver will receive $44 million in guaranteed money at signing, and can now focus on his return to the field following a devastating ankle injury that ended his 2024 campaign. Godwin caught 50 passes for 576 yards and five touchdowns in seven games last season, and could make for a nice value in fantasy drafts next season if he’s able to return to his old form.
Haasan Reddick to the Bucs.
Buccaneers agreed to terms with EDGE Haason Reddick, formerly of the Jets, on a one-year, $14 million contract.
$12 million of this is guaranteed per Adam Schefter. Reddick famously held out for the first seven weeks of the season after the Jets wouldn’t give him a contract extension. He ended the year with just three sacks in 392 snaps for the Jets after a slow ramp-up period — it took him until Week 14 to be announced as a starter. Reddick is a decent bet to bounce back on this deal entering his age-31 season, and the Buccaneers are in desperate need of pass-rush help.

Rookie it is. No one else on the market I think is even remotely useful.APB wrote: ↑10 Mar 2025 12:05Chris Godwin re-signed with the Bucs. 3 years, $66m. Yikes. And that's after he allegedly turned down a higher offer choosing instead to remain in Tampa.

DT Milton Williams to the Panthers.
Panthers agreed to terms with DT Milton Williams, formerly of the Eagles, on a contract.
Williams was one of the more sought after defensive tackles on the market. The 26-year-old played primarily in a backup role during his four seasons with the Eagles, but totaled a career-high five sacks last season while also posting 24 tackles and seven TFLs. Williams saved his best game of the season for the Super Bowl, when he tallied two sacks of Patrick Mahomes while also forcing and recovering a fumble. Now set to be a full-time starter, the Panthers will hope Williams can emerge as one of the league’s top defensive tackles in an emerging defense.

So much for your shocker, @lupedafiasco...
Giants agreed to terms with CB Paulson Adebo, formerly of the Saints.
We’re still waiting on the details, but the former Saints heads to New York as a potential CB1 for the G-Men. Adebo is currently recovering from a broken femur, but the Giants seemingly did their due diligence on the injury and are confident in a full recovery. Adebo totaled 10 pass breakups and three interceptions despite playing in just seven games last year. He will be a key addition for a Giants defense that ranked 21st in points allowed last year.

Another CB off the market.
Patriots agreed to terms with CB Carlton Davis, formerly of the Lions, on a three-year, $60 million contract.
Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the contract includes $34.5 million guaranteed. It’s a good deal for the age-28 corner. Davis played well in his lone season with the Lions, totaling 11 pass breakups and two interceptions. However, he suffered a broken jaw late in the year and ended the season on injured reserve. After seven NFL seasons, Davis has yet to play more than 14 games in a single year. For the Patriots, Davis’s health is worth the gamble as they had over $120 million in cap space heading into free agency. Signing him is just one of many moves they will be making over the next week as they look to spend a war chest of cash.

Moves like this kind of baffle me. It’s not like the Panthers are a DT away from the Super Bowl. They need an entire offense.NCF wrote: ↑10 Mar 2025 12:17Can't wait to see the numbers.APB wrote: ↑10 Mar 2025 12:16DT Milton Williams to the Panthers.

Gotta start building somewhere. Hes young and ascending. Its a step in the right direction. When we sucked Gutenbumst went out and got Z, P, Amos, and Turder. 3 of those were very good signings. One was inexcusably and mind-numbingly dumb but still it upgraded the roster and got us on track.

The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reports “other teams around the league are showing strong interest in landing Milton Williams right now.”
This announcement comes shortly after Russini reported Williams and the Panthers had agreed to a deal. Now, it appears multiple teams are still making a push to sign the 26-year-old tackle who recorded two sacks in the Eagles’ Super Bowl win over the Chiefs. While the Panthers are clearly one of the teams in play for Williams, a deal between the two sides is not imminent at this time.
Rodgers gonna be the QB that finally gets Tomlin fired.
