With more CB's coming off the board, here's who's available as FA's.

What ever happened with Asante Samuel Jr? Was he not good? Did he just not hit?
Rasul being out there is kind of funny.
Not sure about how he's played. But he missed 18 games last year with a neck/shoulder injury and he's apparently not yet healthy.

Hoping for Tommi Hill or BJ Adams at CB with this next pick.
Or Jamon Dumas-Johnson at LB.... or Shaun Dolac but he's more of a 7th rounder.

He's okay in pass coverage. Injured a lot and a complete liability vs the run.

Man there are a LOT of free agents still available at CB and DT.
Definitely makes me feel better.

The last time we didn't trade in a draft was 2014.

We took the other Georgia DT. Big guy who can move, but I dunno if he's any good.

Warren Brinson.
Packers sure like those Georgia defensive players.

Incredibly athletic, large, raw OT to the Eagles in round 6. Ugh. haha

One thing this 2025 draft (days 1 and 2) is showing us is that
the Packers are looking at the long term, not merely 2025!
With all the guys who are possibly playing their last year in GB, or have lingering health concerns, Guty has worked to restock the cupboard for the long haul. There'll be growing pains this year, again. But it could become crazy good in 2026!
I don't necessarily agree or disagree with your point above about the Packers looking at the long term with their first 3 picks, I can see viable arguments either way when it comes to short or long term impact and emphasis, but, if you are correct that the Packers draft means they are looking at the long term, it would confirm my belief that when GM Brian Gutekunst said three months ago that “The thing that’s been on my mind as we concluded this season is we need to continue to ramp up our sense of urgency,” he was directing that statement to others with the Packer organization.
I'dbe willing to bet that the WR room may have been one of the targets of that statement.
Oh, for sure. I'm not saying Guty isn't working things for 2025. He clearly is. The first 4 guys he picked will all get significant playing time. And it'll add pressure the WR, OLine groups. Competition. So guys like Watson, Doubs, Wicks, Reed, Rhyan, and other should not take their roles for granted. They need to work hard every day and be a team player and improve now. It's a do or die thing.

Yeah. We didn't see Guty jump in a panic for either. Makes me wonder if he has an Ace in the back pocket. We'll find out within a couple of weeks.
