It would sure be something. Russell Wilson esque. They really do have the core defense left, one of the best young RB’s in the country, a good line. If Williams would somehow choose Madison they would become a playoff contender.

Man, I remember being so excited for Mertz, especially after the 2020 season opening masterpiece. It's been pretty much all down hill since then. Dude has become just another of the many flashing but inconsistent Badger QBs we've come to know all too well.

Mertz is worse than most of those others.
Williams informed the Badgers he isn't considering them anymore. But that was reported by USC, another school he is considering so take with a scoop of salt.

Yep, academics are why Madison will always fall short of getting the top recruits like Bama, etc. They are way too strict. Way more strict from when I went there.
