Right now, you'd think that there's no chance for the Browns. But like they say, when a team is cornered, you know that you'll get their best.

But can this Browns team hang with a QB who is playing MVP level and a diverse offense? If our D plays modestly well, we should win easily. Should...
We just can't screw around with penalties and turnovers. If we play like we are capable of, stop Chubb, keep AR upright and open holes for Aaron Jones and Dillon we should... :)

Browns placed K Chase McLaughlin on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

McLaughlin is out for the Browns' Christmas Day matchup against Green Bay. Journeyman K Chris Naggar will get the start for Cleveland. Naggar, who spent time with the Jets in 2020 and has never attempted a pro kick.
So there's that...

Concur. At this point I'd advocate FAIR CATCHING everything that is reasonably fair catchable. Hard to believe professional returners wearing a Packers uniform can't return the ball. Either that or bring in a returner. It seems ridiculous that #8 can't do this job. Mind blowing actually.

Baker Mayfield activated from Covid thing. And their top WR.

Otherwise their adventures in Covidland continue, per PFT:
Mayfield will have his top receiver back, too, as Jarvis Landry was also activated off the COVID-19 list. Backup QB Case Keenum, cornerback A.J. Green, and defensive end Ifeadi Odenigbo were activated off COVID reserve, too.

But Cleveland announced that defensive tackle Jordan Elliott and kicker Chase McLaughlin have been placed on the COVID-19 list, so the team’s troubles with the virus aren’t quite over. Safety Cedric Thompson was also placed on the practice squad COVID-19 list.

With several players still out due to COVID-19, the Browns activated safety Adrian Albert, guard Hjalte Froholdt, defensive end Joe Jackson, cornerback Herb Miller, safety Javonte Moffatt, quarterback Nick Mullens, kicker Chris Naggar, and defensive end Curtis Weaver as COVID-19 replacements.

Safety Cedric Thompson has been released from the practice squad/COVID-19 list.

Maybe their replacement kicker is good. But can they go into this game with full confidence that he would nail every figgy from less than 50 yards?

This could potentially impact the Browns’ strategies on game day as much as many things.

Maybe our STs could actually do BETTER than our opponents? Nah…..!

I have no confidence of FGs for us beyond 35 yards either

The Packers lunatic fringe is more visible because of sheer numbers. The Packers have one of the largest fan bases in all of sports. If the fringe percentage is the same as with other teams, then we end up with larger volumes of nut jobs. - JustJeff

Crosby has missed some that short this year. But IMO his misses have been more about the operation and blocking scheme.

I don't agree with that but it's been a while since he's kicked a long anyway.

Sounds like we can trot this out each week, just replace Chubb with whoever. :)
