Eh, usually on wrestling you know they will be coming out. Though Becky Lynch and Brock Lesnar at Summer Slam were pretty unexpected.

Willie Davis was like that a little bit. Not sure if it was his way to take a rest, or what.
Kellen Winslow Sr did that in one game against Miami. He was actually very dehydrated. He’d catch a pass and then be dragged off the field. Rest a snap or two. Come back to catch another pass from Dan Fouts. Get dragged off the field again. He was like the walking dead. But he played his heart out. And it seemed like Fouts kept going back to him.

ya, the Don " air" Coryell years with Fouts, Winslow, Joiner, and Jefferson, the introduction of the live ball era, pass to set up the run was a new concept back in the early 70's.
